Nest Above — Attraction in Estes Park

The Nest Above was the perfect venue for the Rehearsal Dinner of our son and his wife! The venue is such a great space – intimate for our group of 22 and spectacular views of Rocky Mountain National Park. Juli, the event coordinator, was so wonderful to work with and very responsive in the weeks up to the event. At our tasting, Juli went through everything in detail and chef Thomas came out and described every salad, entrée, and dessert in great detail. It was difficult to decide on our selections as all of the food tasted phenomenal! And the presentation was outstanding.

They were very accommodating to let us choose wines that were not on the Nest Above event menu selection but were served at Bird and Jim’s restaurant, which we greatly appreciated.

The days prior to the event the Alexander Mountain fire broke out near Loveland, closing highway 34 between Loveland and Estes Park. Much of the Nest Above staff commutes from Loveland and we were concerned about our event, but Juli and her team made sure our event was not going to be impacted by the road closure and that her and her team were going to be available to provide a top-notch, memorable evening for us.

I cannot say enough about how happy we are with our experience at the Nest Above! We had our daughter’s wedding reception here. Not only is this place beautiful, but the windows in the venue allow you to see God’s beautiful scenery!!!! Our event manager, Julie Rau, went above and beyond to make sure everything and every detail was taken care of! Bless her heart, she took many phone calls and answered multiple text messages anytime we had a question or concern. The entire wait staff that took care of us that evening were amazing! I wish I could remember all of their names because I would love to give them all props! Just know that everybody working there is top-notch! We chose a three course meal for our reception and it was outstanding. Chef Thomas is wonderful! We had choices of beef tenderloin, salmon and chicken. Everybody loved their food! My husband and I got married on Memorial Day and we had our reception at the Nest Above and we are SO so happy we chose to have it there. Juli met with us a couple days before the event to go over last minute details and any other questions that we had. Juli is a great person and really knows what she is doing. Juli and her team provided excellent service during our reception and we cannot thank them enough for a wonderful evening! The food was delicious, we had the buffalo chili, elk tenderloin (with scallops for the bride), my husband had the duck, and finished with the chocolate cherry mousse.
