The beginning of our vacation did not get off to a good start since we chose Boba’s. We were exhausted from traveling all day and had a craving for an gyro. We wanted to go through the drive through so we could take it home and relax. The drive through is very primitive w no signs. We entered where it said to and there was a large truck in the back. We couldn’t see if there was a car in front of the truck. We waited about 20 minutes before the truck could pull around the other side. We waited another 15 minutes until we got up to the window that was closed. There was a sign on the window that said, if you did not order at the microphone to go around again. We pulled out an realized we had to get on the highway and re-enter the small driveway and there were already 3 cars in the drive through ahead of us. My husband got angry and said, I’ll just go in and order. I waited in the car for about 15 minutes until he came back with the food. We drove the 15 minutes back to our place and prepared to eat out gyro and burger. Guess what, my husband paid for a gyro but they didn’t put it in the bag! Amateurs!!! Thanks Boba’s for ruining our...
Read moreGood alternative to other overpriced food in town. In Oct '24, the average price of a sandwich and side here is about $15 per person, but that's considerably cheaper than most other sit down restaurants in Estes. Our 4-person group ordered a chicken sandwich, double cheeseburger, an Elk burger, and a single cheeseburger, all with fries or onion rings (no drinks) and the bill was a little under $60. Please keep in mind that this is not a traditional sit down restaurant. This is more like a burger stand. They have counter ordering or drive thru, and the sit down area isn't the most attractive, but there is a nice view of the mountains. The burgers are big (the Elk burger had the best flavor to us) and the onion rings are great! The fries are similar to Mickey D's but a slight bit larger. Overall, decent place to get food and a step up in quality from fast food. The person taking the order was very nice and the wait time from order to eating was just shy of 10 minutes. If you're coming back to town from RMNP, a decent place to stop off and grab a bite without waiting forever and dropping a...
Read moreExceptional Experience!!!
My wife and I visited here with our 4 kids on vacation in July of 2021.
We love little local "hole in the wall" kind of places and this fits that bill perfectly.
We were immediately impressed when we walked in and saw a sign that said "we are not a fast food restaurant, everything is made to order, so please be patient." Good stuff!
Even with that in mind, the food came out exceptionally fast and was extremely tasty!
We ordered burgers, fries, elk burgers, cheese sticks, jalapeno poppers, cheese fries, and chicken tenders.
All of the food was great and you can tell it's all made from scratch.
The highlights: Cheese sticks - the best I've ever had, very tasty The jalapeno poppers - seemed like they were homemade. Make sure you ask for the raspberry dipping sauce - DELICIOUS! The elk burger - juicy and fresh - I wish they had those where I lived! Fries - we got them seasoned and with cheese and they were great.
We visited other places in Estes Park that were waaaaaaay overpriced and not nearly as good. This place is a MUST stop on your tour...
