I would recommend Trout Haven Resorts to anyone I know heading to Estes Park! We had the BEST experience with them. Whether it's having your wedding reception, planning a family vacation or just needing a place to stay for a couple of nights, you need to stay here! We had a wonderful time. Amy was our "wedding go-to" and she helped us IMMENSELY. So much so that we are excited to come back to visit her. She is like family to us now. She is so sweet, responds to your needs so quickly and truly cares about your wedding day. We had a few things that we needed to get done the day of the wedding that I completely forgot about and when we walked in for our reception, Amy had put it together for us, better than we could have ever done. She is so helpful and honest. When we arrived to our cabin for the evening, we were greeted with delicious wine, BEAUTIFUL flowers, chocolates and a handwritten card. It was so incredibly thoughtful. Not many people go above and beyond like the Trout Haven staff, especially Amy. We just adore her!
We had a good amount of family staying with us as well and all they could say was how great the staff was there! I got to interact with Dustin while checking in and he was so helpful as well. If you're even thinking about having your wedding/event here, don't second guess. This is the place to be!! I promise you will not be disappointed. How could you be with those mountains in the windows of your event center?!?
We can't wait to come back to visit...
Read moreWe stayed in the tiny cabin for two days, it was a family reunion. We had rented a total of three cabins: # 4, # 6 and # 16. Unfortunately cabin # 4 did not have the view that we expected when we booked the tiny cabin. We were told that there was a river view which turned out to be almost non-existent. The river view turned out to be an RV park with trailers and RVs stacked together like sardines. The view on the other side of the cabin turned out to be an extensively long commercial building with unused RVs and trailers parked up against it. The cost per night was $225. Upon check out, I complained about the problem and the girl at the counter said, well you know we’re so busy and we got millions of people that come to Estes Park every year. I told the girl at the counter that, that wasn’t the issue, |the issue is that I did not pay to have a view of a trailer park and that’s why I’ve come to the tiny village to get away from all the busyness in a city. I suggested to the girl at the front counter that her company should plant large bushes and trees as a barm to hide the trailer park and her other excuse was well we don’t own that trailer park so it doesn’t matter anyway. So my review on the tiny cabin, unfortunately is going to be a 2 instead of a 5. Again, I’m going to give them a 2 because of attitude and because of the...
