This store takes you back to a time before retail was corrupted by corporations who's only agenda was driven entirety on profits. You get the sense that every item on their shelves was carefully considered before they'd offer it for sale to their customers. I appreciate the quality of their goods, I appreciate the time they put into presenting their goods, and I appreciate the staff making me feel so comfortable. It's almost as though you travel back in time 50 to 60 years and experience retail as it ought to be. I will and do pay a premium to support the way these folks choose to sell their wares. I only wish there were more stores that operated on the same premise, and that they'd be able to compete with the big box stores that Americans seem to flock to in order to save a few bucks. If you are considering opening any type of store, I'd highly recommend you study what and how these folks are doing it, and I believe you will heap...
Read moreFirst off, I hardly ever leave reviews. However, I drove with my wife down to Eustis Florida just to see what's what. We walked into The Peddler's Wagon, expecting to see a normal gift shop, typical of Florida and found the place to be very unique and actually a great time. First off, its the size of about 5 gift shops in one. Floor to ceiling, My wife was in Nirvana. the people were very friendly, but not obnoxiously so. Especially, this one kid in particular, named Clark, he just walks over while we're shopping and greets us with some snacks on a tray and a drink with it (the employees actually go out to their kitchen and make the stuff). Then he helps us find all the things she was looking for. He also directed us to great place for dinner, by the lake. great personal touch. We have been back a few times since. The Peddlers Wagon is a must visit if you stop by this town,...
Read moreI wish I could post what I ordered compared to what was sent. I ordered Bubble Gum Bliss for my granddaughter. Discuss with the store because it was dainty. Pink rosebuds, Daisy’s etc in a pretty punk vase with a polka dot ribbon. What she received was fully bloomed roses...not as many as ordered...daisies and other in a tin bucket with no ribbon. When I called to complain. I was told “ tin is I. But i guess you must not know that”. Couldn’t they at least have chosen a glass vase or possibly put a ribbon on the tin container? After raising her voice and arguing with me she said fine I will send more but we will pick up what we delivered. Said she will be losing money on the flowers..well.not much because they will wilt any time now. Since I want my granddaughter unaware of this issue I said forget it. After I ordered I heard of their bad reputation around town. Wish I had...
