So called souvenirs are "Made in Mexico", "Made in Vietnam", even "Made in China". The most disappointing however was the "We support Veterans" sign and the big sign that said they offered a military discount. Since it was posted, I took out my VHIC only to be told the discount was only for "active duty, retired, and their dependents". I suppose my 8 years and two deployments didnt count. Even though we had almost $100 of merchandise, we turned and left it on the counter. I will choose to spend my money elsewhere. Support Veterans? Disrespect Veterans is more like it.    Read moreA very nice gift shop in downtown Fairbanks. They have the standard plastic key rings and shot glasses, but if you look hard enough, there are some real finds here! Also, kudos to the lady at the check out who so carefully wrapped our breakable items. That was a nice touch. Parking may be tough. We were not staying downtown so we found street parking, but there are a lot of "you can park here but not here" signs...
