This was our first and our last time here. My boyfriend and I have been in the service industry for fifteen years and honestly are pretty understanding and hate to complain or leave reviews , but our experience tonight was just beyond horrible and I have to let the people know about this! I've never been to a Cheesecake Factory but I would assume this place would be below it. They should spend more money on training their staff than the gotti, over the top, cheap decor. I had called ahead two hours before to make a reservation and when we arrived the hostess told me she didn't have any reservation under my name. After letting her know I called and made a reservation which I said when I first approached the hostess stand then she found it. After one of the hostesses took us into the dining room she stopped us in the middle of the dining room and asked us to wait while she walked away. We were standing there waiting in the middle of the dining room for a few minutes after she finally sat us down at a booth. After finally being sat we waited for 10 minutes to speak with a server and all we were offered were bread and water instead of asking for a cocktail order or if we wanted appetizers. He didn't even greet us with his name. This "server" brought me a martini, an order which I ordered very simply: grey goose martini. He didn't ask about whether I wanted it dirty, olives, or a twist of lemon. When my martini showed up he sat it down and said you wanted it dirty right? I took one sip because sometimes I order it slightly dirty (which is very easy to mess up) and it was way too much olive juice. The next martini came with no olive garnish but again the server after already messing up didn't clarify if I was okay with an olive garnish. Now we order an appetizer. The server came by while I was in the restroom and dropped off the appetizer which was fried but came sitting in a pool of grease from the fryer. We then ordered a salad to split and an entree to split. Both the salad and entree came out at the same time with no extra plates. I had to flag someone down who brought me a hot plate to put my cold salad on. Our server complained about his day and how long he had worked and how tired he was to us when the whole time we were there he didn't spend more than a minute or two at our table. He kept running off to do something else. The Caesar salad came way over dressed and the chicken Parmesan was more breading than chicken. Again, no side plates to split that as it was left getting cold while we ate our salads. We were looking forward to ordering multiple cooked to order desserts after dinner but didn't want to spend anymore time or money here. We clearly stopped eating and were ready to go and I had to flag our server down again just to get the bill. I would never eat here again in my life and honestly didn't want to tip at all but being in the service industry I felt obliged to tip atleast 17 percent especially when he complained to us a second time when he brought the bill for a "sympathy" tip. Not once did we see a manager on the floor or stop by the table. DO...
Read moreMy husband and I came for my birthday. Initially because we wanted to try beef wellington. We arrive to a 20 minute wait - no biggie. We see a table in the bar area available but continued to wait. We were also told that a text would be sent to me when a table was ready. After 15 minutes the hostess yelled my name and we are seated at the empty table in the bar area. Assumed the dining room was full and had a seat. After 5 minutes we were greeted by a server. He left drink napkins and straws then walked away. 5 minutes into waiting for the servers return a family of 4 walked up to the table next to us that was just vacated and not even cleaned yet. They go to the hostess and let her know they would sit there instead of waiting. Someone came to clean the table for them and gave them silverware. Another 10 minutes and the waiter finally resurfaces only to greet the family of 4 and walks away again. A few minutes later the family flags him down for water. He brings them water, then us water, then goes back to them and takes their order! I am flabbergasted as we have already been there over 30 minutes and there before this family(whose white) but we are made to wait! He comes to take our order and I am not happy. He walks away with our full order. It took 15 minutes for drinks - remember we are at the bar. But we got the appetizers before the drinks yet people were walking up to the bar and getting drinks faster! Wait staff clustering there holding conversation. I assume waiting for their drink orders. We finally got our food - which was delicious. Still sad that the Steak frites was out and the beef wellington is merely beef medallions with pasty laid on top. While we are eating the family of 4 leave. A guy and I assume 2 friends try to sit at that table only for the hostess to run over and tell them they can't sit there cause other people are waiting! Note that the guys are people of color. I was outdone. The waiter checked on us long enough to show us dessert and give us the bill. he did bring me something for my birthday with a candle in it. Took nearly 10 minutes to bring my husband's credit card back. All in all it was disappointing and one of the worst experiences I have ever had. Not even sure if I...
Read moreAs usual I’m out and about with my family celebrating my cousin’s 19th birthday and he decided on Grand Lux. Now the first thing that came to my mind was cheesecake with strawberry topping ❤️ It’s been a minute since I’ve been to GrandLux and I must say we were very disappointed. We waited almost an hour after our “reservation” to be seated and once seated everything went down hill. There were 9 of us as 2 of his classmates who work in the mall decided to join us. Our waiter took about 15 minutes to come introduce himself and still didn’t take our drink or appetizer orders. Finally he comes back and took our drink orders however it took about another 20 minutes to receive them and I had to inquire about my Grand Lux Margarita and other alcoholic beverages we ordered and he stated the bar was backed up. Finally everyone gets the drink they ordered and finally we placed our appetizer orders needless to say they took forever to arrive as well but we’re starving at this point so no one cared enough to complain. Our food orders were placed and keeping up with the pattern it took forever to receive our entrees and when we did the birthday boys order was wrong. At this point I was over it. My salmon was dry, flavorless and the mashed potatoes were cold many of the other guest weren’t pleased with their orders either but why bother complaining it would have taken two hours to reorder and receive our food. My grandson needed to use the bathroom and OMG I was very very shocked at the condition it was in completely unacceptable. Although the restaurant itself was clean and tidy there is no excuse for the bathroom looking the way it did. All in all we had a great time talking and celebrating and our waiter who I promised him would remain nameless states that the issue is they are understaffed and overworked and are in desperate need of more wait staff, kitchen/prep cooks and bartenders. He also stated he’s thankful to have a job but it’s stressful working under those conditions and not every table is as understanding and generous as we were. This chain can...
