It's great to see the franchise spread south. We visited the Frisco location a lot after COVID, but moved south and it wasn't convenient any longer. The food and the coffee remain very good, so why the three stars?
There's a lot of teething going on. The menu is smaller, and whilst it's a good mix of savoury and sweet, it's what you can get and when you can get it that's a problem. Look at my first image, there are at least 5 empty trays in the display case.
Two hours before closing, during lunch time, they didn't have many standards available. No Lamb and Rosemary, only one sausage roll, no curry and chicken. Even the house coffee I requested had to be substituted as there was no fresh brewed on hand. I didn't see any pasties of any kind.
I certainly understand that you want to make sure you don't have leftover and waste material, but if you're advertised as a "grab and go" place, then surely I should be able to grab and go with what I see on your menu? I drove 30 minutes across town, and still had to wait 15 minutes whilst some pies cooled down.
I expect this will all get sorted. I'll be back, my daughter is upset with me for going without her (she just went back to school the day we found out about this place.)
At that time, maybe we'll raise a star.
Two pies, two desserts, coffee and chutney...
Read moreI just visited The Aussie Grind Provisions today for the first time, and let me say, all these 5 star reviews are spot on! I was greeted right away by Alexandra A., but since I didn't know what I was doing yet, she gave me space to decide what I wanted. Then, she was right there when I decided on my order. I tried a lemon cake and it was so delicious. I also got a mocha, which Alexandra made to perfection. The atmosphere was very nice -- calm and relaxing, though there was a steady stream of people popping in, even close to closing time. Alexandra made sure to give me a drink punch card and made recommendations for my next visit, though not at all in a pushy way. I heard an Australian accent from a man who was sitting behind me, working, who also popped up to serve customers, as needed. I assumed he might be the owner, and as I was leaving, he thanked me, and I confirmed that he was one of the owners. He took the time to chat with me and walked me out. This was an all-around great experience, so if you're looking for a good place for coffee or a snack, be...
Read moreThis place is absolutely awesome. I just went for my first time, and Jordan (I hope I’m spelling that right) and Alex were extremely welcoming and very knowledgeable all while being transparent about why they love certain items.
The quality is through the roof on both baked goods and coffees
I had a matcha latte, the iced latte (ice cream one), dirty chai latte, and the cold brew for drinks while I tried the GF brownie and chocolate chip banana bread for food (it was me and my gf relax), and I’ll even rank them for you
Best - least best (there wasn’t a worst since they all were good or great). And it’s tiered so gaps are intentional
Elite Cold brew (yeah it’s that good) Double dirty chai latte w oatmilk
Great Banana bread (I’m not a big butter guy but you can get it without so that’s on me)
Good Matcha latte GF brownie (more like a brownie bread)
Still good, but less notable Ice cream version of the iced latte
Overall- 9/10 (10/10 would be the best coffee spot...
