Been a while since I've been going here and figured I'd finally post a review.
I have nothing but good things to say about this place, it rules. Let's list why:
-The guys are super friendly and are always open to questions. I never feel pressured into buying things or anything like that. My wife says she likes the place too because it's one of the few game places that if she goes in alone she doesn't feel talked down to or made to feel unwelcome.
-Lots of good stock over a wide range of consoles and types. Rare finds as well as more common stuff, and all of it is priced very, very well. One of the few places I've had the pleasure of buying from where the condition of the box, presence or absence of a manual, and inserts is actually reflected in the price you pay, and it's made very obvious on the price tag itself.
-Trade in prices offered are actually very good. I usually NEVER sell games at all, and if i do i usually sell them on Ebay, but the prices these guys offer for things is well worth not having to deal with the hassle of folks online and shipping, etc...
-Maybe a small point, but an important one, the store feel really clean and pleasant to be in. A lot of video game stores have a tendency to feel really dingy and grimy, but this place feels very welcoming to be in for extended periods of time.
If i had any critiques of the place it'd probably just be the size. It's a touch small and can feel a little cramped at times, but that's not really something they have any control over so it's not that big of a deal.
Overall, radical store. Keep up the...
Read moreRather large collector myself so when I heard a bunch of dudes were putting up pieces of their collections, I had to go see what the big hype was about. So I went all three grand opening weekend days.
The store is a rather small store but don’t think that as a negative. It is jam packed with rather needed and nostalgic gems. I guarantee you, they have some rare, and tons of uncommon games. They sell consoles as well as accessories for consoles.
They are on par with price charting prices. In some cases prices are even lower. An occasional high priced game but of course the convenience of buying locally out weights online if the price is right so always keep that in mind.
I did hear some trade in action and honestly it’s very similar to other stores such as half price/game stop/x-change/etc..
One suggestion I have is moving your middle aisle around. It’s very cramped and hard to move around others.
I commend you three gentlemen on how much you put into this! As a collector I’m proud of you, as a community member I’ll do my best to help! And as a gamer, this is a great spot to grow the passion!
If you all ever need a local repair person for consoles/handhelds feel free to reach out! I’d love to help and keep your costs low. I’m sure once you see what games I got you’ll figure out in your system who I am ;)
Good luck!...
Read moreMy PlayStation 5 suddenly stopped reading discs, and when I reached out to the places I knew of that do console repairs, I either couldn't get a real person on the phone or couldn't get a straightforward quote. I found Quicksave through a Google search, gave them a call, and took my PS5 in. The staff was completely transparent from the start about pricing, what they were going to try to do, what they could and couldn't guarantee, etc. They weren't ultimately able to repair the system because of the specific part that was broken (Not their fault! That's on Sony!), but they were transparent and communicative throughout the entire process and, because they couldn't fix it, ended up charging me far less for the labor than I expected based on the original estimate.
More than that, they were able to sell me a used PS5 they'd recently gotten in, and they bought my broken one for parts. At the end of the day, I ended up spending less than half of what I thought I'd have to spend for a used PS5.
I was so impressed with how kind, transparent, and communicative the guys were. I really can't recommend Quicksave enough, and I'll be visiting frequently to see what...
