Poor service and poor quality
Thought I'd try this place out and that's a mistake I won't make again. Walked in and the guy behind the counter didn't even greet me. He was also quite pushy as I was deciding what we were going to get. Settled on a steak quesadilla and a chicken burrito. The quesadilla had one whole slice that didn't have any meat on it and almost no cheese. No salsa inside or on the side of it. The chicken burrito I had one bite that I swore was raw chicken. Had the consistency of raw chicken. Spit it out and didn't care to eat anymore of that. We ordered a pizza. The counter area was pretty filthy, not wiped down and if you have any food allergies, beware because cross contamination is definitely a thing here. I guess the "queso" (Velveta) is extra. I was charged like $1.50 for a tablespoon serving of Velveta. hah
Final note: This place is slightly cheaper than Qdoba but for the extra $2-3 for two people, I'd take Qdoba in a heartbeat for higher quality and fresher ingredients.
I do not recommend this place if you enjoy any sort of quality or...
Read moreStrangely enough, the first time I visited a Pancheros, which was in Iowa City, IA - I hated it. Everything I disliked about that location is not true of this location.
The food quality and taste is solidly between a "sit down" Mexican restaurant and a fast-food place like Taco Bell, with the pricing matching pretty well. Their mild and medium salsa is mild enough to work for people that don't like spicy food, and they have additional sauces available on the condiment stand for those that do like to kick it up a notch or seven.
The staff is quiet, but helpful, and is willing to accommodate most requests without scoffing or making a big deal about whether it's normal or not. If there's an upcharge, it's on the menu and they don't tend to make a big deal out of it, which is preferred.
If you frequent the place, definitely join their rewards program (through an app) to get free burritos after you pay for X burritos, it'll save you at least some money and you get a free burrito for joining or...
Read moreThe staff was super friendly. I had a great experience in the restaurant.
The burrito like melted like liquid as was completely inedible. I did not like how it tasted. It was like it literally just kind of fell apart and had no texture whatsoever. I tried to eat it with a spoon after it literally melted into a liquid and then just threw out half of it cause I didn’t like it at all.
It was weird because I’ve genuinely had a great experience in the past. The last burrito I got there was really good so I don’t know what happened, but it was just flavorless and basically a liquid.
First scale, I picked up the burrito as soon as it was cooked walked across the street and ate it, and it was like completely soggy. I don’t know...
