I would give this negative stars if I could.
We went to dinner here last night 6/17/24 and had a horrible experience. Initially they sat us at a dirty table that had a bunch of crusty stuff on it like it hasnāt been cleaned all day. They moved us but that next table wasnāt much cleaner and they denied our request for a rag. The server was rude, didnāt smile once. Fine, whatever, but also didnāt acknowledge us or questions as we were ordering. Didnāt check in at all, at one point I had to get up and find him. It eventually became apparent that he knew nothing about the menu and simply couldnāt answer any questions. It wasnāt busy. But our appetizer still arrived with our food. Okay sure, I get that happens sometimes, but our food didnāt come out all together. We waited ten minutes in between me getting my wings and my partner getting part of his order before the server brought out my young daughterās food (if you have kids you know how this goes) and then it was almost another ten after that before I got my fries and my partner got the rest of his order. No apologies or explanation from the serve whatsoever. When asked he just said āyepā and walked away. He spoke to us as little as possible. He was young, gen Z, and as far as I could tell had absolutely no business being in hospitality. Iāve been in this industry for almost 15 years now so yes I do take circumstances into account, and through the entire experience I remained as polite and optimistic as possible, but we were one of three tables in the entire place and we were treated like absolute garbage.
When we left last night I had intended to let this go but as of today all three of us are feeling extremely unwell and we can only attribute it to the food. Which was barely passable. The burgers were dried out and tasted like cheap, highly processed meat, the boneless chicken wings were rock hard, the chips had no flavor and the fries were just straight up gross. Soggy and covered in excess seasoning. Even despite the wait (which still baffles me as there was basically no one in there) nothing arrived hot, everything was room temperature.
The last time I was at BDubs it was pre-Covid and we certainly wonāt be going back because this place has majorly declined and it was a total waste of money (we spent almost $100 including an ill deserved tip but, like I said Iām in the industry and try to lead with compassion) on top of screwing up our entire next day. Had to call into work, my daughter couldnāt attend camp, and no. Itās not the flu/covid/etc - I know how my body reacts to bad food. This company would be better off shutting their doors than continuing to operate like this.
Given this experience and similar ones with the age group, I suggest all businesses do a hands on training course in hospitality for any Gen Z employees because none of them seem to care about their jobs. But in this case the complacency started with the hostess and ended with the chef. No one in there seems to take pride in a job well done.
And for the record/perspective, Iām a...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreBW3 corporateā¦do the right thing and just close this store. It WAS awesome when it first opened a decade or so ago. Itās now degraded over time to awful. We were frequent flyers. Great food, great service. We enjoy other Buffalo Wild Wings when traveling. This store is the WORST. We typically donāt dine in anymore because of less than stellar service. The last time we ordered delivery via the app, a dinner was completely missed (seriously, how hard is it to get it right?). Our only option was a refund on that particular dinner (so who goes hungry tonight?), or they could make it fresh, but we would have to pick it up. If we wanted to go pick up food, we would have done that in the first place and saved the delivery expense. Oh, by all means, letās not have the family eat togetherā¦please just inconvenience yourself and come help us fix our mistake. Try harder. Really. That cannot be your best option for YOUR mistake. āitās independent contractors and we donāt have a way to get them to come and deliver food for you.ā Seriously, be better. Try harder. So we took a long break from this place. We tried again tonight. Dumb. Thatās on me. I should have never tried. As I should have expected, an entire dinner was missing again. Same story. Make it fresh so I could come get it, or refund that particular dinner. Iām not sure if Iām more upset because Iām hungry and would love to have dinner with my family, if Iām upset at the shock of not getting it right AGAIN, or if I am in disbelief that after all this time, and I can only assume countless messed up orders, the best options are still awful and unchanged. Does anyone care? Is anyone actually in charge of making this store better? Perhaps I would start with an authentic apology as opposed to an annoyance that someone is calling to bring the issue to attention. If I were responsible for managing this store, I would have an actual process to fix/correct. Can we call the driver? Sitting in the car still? If not driver error and itās a kitchen error, you say you canāt deliver it because itās an āindependent contractor.ā Bust out the store credit card, order on your own app, pay the DoorDash driver a tip, and deliver it. Pretty easy huh? Again, try harder. Be better. Apologize better. Be genuine. Well, actually, donāt. Just give up. Close the store. Perhaps something worthwhile will open...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreYesterday I had the pleasure to dine on a late snack at Buffalo Wild Wings in Fitchburg. I have been living in United States on and off since 2005 and permanently since 2012. I have been trying/eating wings in pretty much any state in United States, at a lot food chains, restaurants, dining places , stores, hotels and so on. THEY ALL have been serving me and my companions the same uncooked from the inside wings. Raw, reddish, tasteless and slimy meet has been offered to me IN ALL, i repeat:-IN ALL locations across US. On multiple occasions, we have been trying to ask waiters to please check with the chef to ensure a properly cooked from the inside meat/wings and the result has ALWAYS been a well cooked crust from the outside and the same chewy, raw meet inside. Again, the experience has BEEN identical no matter where i or my friends and family sat or ordered from. Raw and often bloody from the inside wings! I have recently started to believe that this is actually the recipe. Human stomachs are not designed to handle raw meet. Needless to say, this is not a sanitary proper way to handle meat and where i come from , restaurants are fined if such food leaves the kitchen. Friends of mine, chefs from overseas, have shared the same amaze and disappointment from that fact. All that changed yesterday , when at that particular Buffalo Wild Wings location in Fitchburg I was FINALLY served a real cooked meat. It was my first time in BWW restaurant. Crust and inside were superb and right to the perfect tenderness and sweetness/saltiness. Meat was really good and all was glazed to the right amount of flavor. My mother happened to be on the table with me and as a prominent chef herself, she also praised the serving FINALLY. I enjoyed every bite of these delicious wings and even packed a box for home for my family to share. They were impressed with my finding and now needless to say, we will be back. BRAVO BWW. You have managed to impress me. It was just a simple order of chicken wings one will say. But hey, may the chef be proud of it! Nowhere in United States have we tried a better chicken wing. Simple as that.
Many thanks to the Staff as well for the good food presentation.
