Merlo Family Vineyards — Restaurant in Folsom

I will preface this by saying their wine is actually very good. However their tasting room has terrible service. The owner seemed very enthusiastic, but easily distracted. He started us off by explaining the wine and getting our tasting started. Afterwards, we were helpednthenrest of the time by his wife, who very obviously knows nothing about wine, let alone the wineries' wine. She did not provide very helpful or good service. Also, the entire time they had their 2 young children and dog running around the establishment. They were watching cartoons very loudly on an iPad and playing with toys in the floor, even going behind the bar distracting them from helping us and other customers. We were also forgotten about near the end of our tasting, we almost had to go up and ask for our last tasting, we probably could've walked out and not been noticed.

So again, great wine, bad service. It didn't give a very good impression on the winery as a whole, which is a shame. They could do a lot better if they were able to focus more on...

Love there wine and the workers. They were in the old sugar mill before in Clarksburg and now there in historical folsom district... beautiful area. We had a wine tasting and the owner was there. Everything was phenomenal and we had amazing service and great conversation. The owner was very delightful and made our tasting very pleasant and fun. The wine is also very amazing and great quality. This review has been long overdue for this Sutter Street gem. I always enjoy a glass of their blended wine Blackbird. I’ve been recently into their Pinot which is super smooth and you can tell the quality is top notch. Ray and Jessie have with the knowledge and quick service I really enjoy.
