Do not enter Snooks! You will regret it!!

Upon entering, we were met with the most fragrant caramel smell that pulled us to the back of the shop where they were socially distancing some freshly coated caramel corn. My son stared at the popcorn being manipulated into sweet submission for 5 minutes without blinking.

You have to understand, before this horrible situation unfolded, his heart was set on wanting ice cream. But this series of unfortunate events posed an existential crisis. His sister was now going to get caramel corn, and she informed in the most matter-of-fact way, there would be absolutely no sharing.

What is a 9-year old boy to do??

This awful shop, twisted our young man's mind and forced him - with no other option - to also get freshly made caramel corn which he hadn't even wanted a mere 5 minutes earlier!

Terrible to subvert the hopes and dreams of children this way.

We left the shop (two bags in tow) and upon arrival at our car we realized the unfortunate trick being played upon us. The caramel corn disappears! In mere minutes the bags were half empty!

By the time we arrived home, the bags were 3/4 gone. We put the bags on a tall pedestal in the kitchen to keep them from wandering hands, and overnight all the caramel corn VANISHED!

Shame on the entire Snooks family for perpetuating this...

I always have room for dessert and if you do too then it’s like being a kid in a candy store here! Located at the corner in downtown Folsom, I had to stop by while we were visiting. I asked what the most popular ice cream flavors were and they for sure said the strawberry Nutella, and I think butter brickle and pistachio. I got a kids split scoop with strawberry Nutella and it was like ribbons of Nutella with strawberry ice cream (so good!) I can’t remember if I got butter brickle or pistachio as my other scoop. My friend got a Gunther’s freeze which came with strawberry freeze and strawberry ice cream, also super refreshing! I also had to try the chocolate honey comb and milk chocolate almond bark. Soo good!! There’s street parking, a parking lot, and parking garage not too far away. It can get busy here and service is great! During our visit to Historic Folsom Town in California, we stopped by Snooks Candies & Chocolate Factory, and it was an absolute treat! We ordered Strawberry Nutella, Sea Salted Caramel, and Espresso ice cream on waffle cones, and each flavor was simply amazing—rich, creamy, and full of authentic taste.

We also had the chance to try their caramel chocolate and spicy corn, both of which were delicious and well-crafted. The ambiance of the store is very authentic and historic, adding to the charm of the experience. The shop offers both indoor and outdoor seating, making it a great spot to relax and enjoy the surroundings of the historic town.
