TL:DR: Great food, great beer, good staff, good atmosphere. The pricing is a little overboard for what you get and the atmosphere is different depending in who's working.

Pros: the food is great hands down, they have the best selection of import beers and ales, the staff is always friendly and it's nice having an Irish style pub in town.

Cons: the food is too expensive for the amount you get...I payed $7.50 for 2 Scottish eggs. The atmosphere changes depending on who's working. For example, I came in a few weeks ago and there were Irish jigs playing all night til closing. And then tonight (8/25) there was a mix of 80's hits, country and the occasional Irish folk....not the kind of atmosphere for a place who takes inspiration from our European folk brothers across the ocean. My final criticism is the closing of the pub. I have been to many bar establishments til closing and not 1 used cranking the volume to 11 to chase people out. This was uncomfortable for my friends and even painful for me. Then finally a server came to our table and yelled over the music "we're closing in 15 minutes". This is not good and I'll explain why...

Advice to management and word of caution: do not use turning up the volume to chase people out without warning. I have a family member who works for an attorney office and I hear stories of establishments using archaic methods of chasing people out, and turning up the volume is one of them. All a customer has to do is file a complaint stating that you caused "bodily and mental harm". So to save yourself this headache, either place signs at the entrance, or find another way to get people out. If turning up the volume is not policy, then see who was closing on 8/25 and retrain them.

All in all this place is good. But I have to lower my vote from 4 to 3 because of poor...

The atmosphere was friendly and very casual. Definitely gives of English pub vibes. There is indoor and outdoor seating. I noticed several areas for people to stand and have a drink away from the bar. Several medium and large booths to accommodate most party sizes. I even noticed a dart board in the corner

The menu has several traditional pub foods which was nice to see and as well as some extras. We ordered a fish sandwich with fries upgraded to poutine style and the special: pork schnitzel, and bottled root beer.

The food came pretty quick and portion size was reasonable.

The fish was really crispy and the brioche bun was great, however I would've preferred more tartar sauce on my sandwich.

The poutine was pretty good too, their gravy was pretty darn delicious and their steak fries crispy, however they could've used larger cheese curds

The schnitzel had an amazing crunchy shell and the pork cutlets weren't overly dry. The masked potatoes has a lemony tang to it that took a minute to get used to, but the slight acidity helped balance the heavier schnitzel.

Over all the food was pretty decent and we would be interested in coming back if we were ever in old Folsom again. It's a nice break from the burgers and pizzas that are...

Great "English" style pub. It has a nice atmosphere, decor, and comfortable "old world" style booths. They have darts in one corner and show sports on a big monitor above the door. Classic rock and Irish Folk play on the sound system. On Monday nights, they have a family board game night with a rack full of new and classic board games (i.e. Settlers of Catan, Pandemic, Steampunk Rally, Sheriff of Nottingham, Castle Panic, Monopoly, chess, Cluedo, etc). The chicken and brie sandwich is excellent. Fish 'n' Chips is good too. (Malt vinegar is available at each table in British fashion). Irish nachos is very filling. Addictive sweet potato fries too. For vegetarian selections, they have tasty salads, veggie pasties, and veggie burgers. For kids, order the "bulldog" hot-dog-like sausage without the onions. They have Guinness and popular craft brews. For non alcoholic drinks, they have coke and ice tea on tap (with free refills) and root beers in the bottle. It's a "seat yourself, order at bar" type of place and they do not make reservations. Occasionally, it can be crowded, even the outdoor patio. It's a good laid-back place to just relax after work with some friends that is OK for the...

Great pub in Folsom! The bartenders know how to pour a perfect pint of Guinness! The pretzel and Perrogies are really good. Friendly staff. Great pub feel. Awesome location in the middle of old town Folsom. Update: October 17 2020 Oh Guinness! The Guinness Can with the Nitro Widget at home during the Covid-19 Pandemic is not the same. Beautiful Northern California day to enjoy a Guinness at my favorite Folsom Pub. Come to Fat Rabbit on Sutter Street and enjoy a pint (or two) of the black stuff. Perfectly poured - always. Cheers!

Reminded me of the pubs in Oxford where i used to live. The most authentic British Pub I've found sense comibg home. It smells like an English pub, it pretty much took me right back to England. The food was incredibly good. I had a fish sandwich and chips 🍟 and I was full but couldn't stop eating!! Definitely a place to go to mix it up, or show your kids not all good things come from America, relaxing and comfortable atmosphere with attentive friendly staff. Will absolutely be going here again and bringing my English father!
