It was a delightful experience, especially for our toddler. The intricate and beautifully detailed scale models of trains and railways were a standout feature. There were mini train models and play areas where kids could explore and engage actively. No tickets are required, but donations are appreciated. However, tickets are needed for the Skunk Train ride.

Definitely worth seeing! The model railroads are extremely detailed with so much care. The gentleman staffing the joint when we arrived was very friendly and knowledgeable, we appreciated his efforts very much. He even made our son feel like a celebrity with some extra attention. You can ask to do a selfie train video, which was really cool!

As a railfan, I appreciate this place for all the effort they put into it, the history they show off, and the interactivity between all of the local history as well as model trains. I look forward to seeing what else they add to it in the coming years.

So much fun for the whole family. My grandkids and their grandpa love it there and spend hours looking at the details of all the exhibits and watching the trains run around. there is scavenger hunt for everyone to enjoy too. The volunteers really know their trains and Mendocino Co history, so their stories of by gone days are very interesting. There are tons of Legos and special low tables for kids to create. It is a great and interesting place where you can enjoy your visit and pick up a bit of Mendocino Co lore. Don't...

If you ride the Pudding Creek Skunk train, then your trip isn't complete till you visit this lovely little gem of a museum - and it's free! Follow the handy guide provided and get a short history lesson about the area while you enjoy the amazing models. Check in with the docents about their hidden scavenger hunt surprises and an opportunity to sound the whistle. Don't miss this stop...
