UPDATE; Just spoke with the owner. She was lovely, contrite, and wanted very much too let me know this is not how she means to run her business. She is going to make this right. This is what I've come to expect from this store. I'm so relieved to know that I can continue to enjoy shopping at Lunar Tide. Thank You Katrina (sic?)! Original: Disappointing experience this weekend, learned they have a terrible return policy. It was 'Small Business Saturday', and I was beginning my Christmas shopping. My husband and I have been shopping here since they moved in to this location, it had always been a good place to find gifts. The first thing I noticed is the pricing is much higher than it had been. Well, I found a pair of overpriced abalone shell earrings for my niece that were $48. I paid cash for them and headed out. As I was headed up the street, I realized that my niece does not have pierced ears. When I went back to the store (a few minutes later) to return the earrings, the clerk told me that I would be getting store credit NOT my cash back. This seemed strange, but I figured that I'd be back sooner or later. The clerk then printed out another receipt that she explained was my store credit. That I would only be getting partial credit, as they would be keeping the (nearly $4) I paid in tax. I explained that this was not good customer service, and she told me that's store policy. Do they really need the $4 more than they need customers?? Buyer beware! If you want good customer service and reasonable prices, just go someplace else in town. There's lots of other more...
Read moreWe from out of town on vacation this last Monday evening my wife went in for a tattoo so to keep my young children busy brought them into this shop. They loved all the rocks but the employee working the counter is why I wanted to take the time and give me review. She was so welcoming and spent the time to walk over to each rock with my daughter and read her off all the names of the rocks as well as what they do. I was very impressed how she was able to translate the rock’s meanings into age appropriate terms for my 6 year old. She also looked at the rocks my kids had picked up around Fort Bragg and showed interest in them which left a lasting impression on my daughter. I unfortunately did not get her name but my daughter loved her plant tattoo on her arm. This little shop and its employee left a lasting impression on my kids who cant wait to return. We left happy to spend our vacation funds on rocks and crystals and will do it...

Before entering asked if it’s okay to bring our to go bags with us in because there was a sign that said no out side food. They said that is fine to bring in I asked if I can set it on a display case not realizing it was at first and she laughed and said no that not okay!!! Didn’t say but you can set it here or there or anything. I wanted to be able to look it was a heavy bag and didn’t want to knock over anything. Didn’t ask if needed any help. Mind you last time I went I spent about $70/$80. I was planning on spending some money there. No one mentioned the sale, gift bag drawing, or cider. They lost my business and my friend’s that I was excited to bring there. Stones are very overpriced. Oh and it says leave bad vibes at door but yet I got bad vibes from them and...
