I was really amazed at how much Mexican/ Latin Culture is right here on Main Street on the Historic Northside in Fort Worth..... specifically Artes de La Rosa Cultural Center. I sat with Mr. William Giron one afternoon as he schooled me on the history of the block and the theater. I was floored on how, due to segregation, Main St was the designated dividing line between coloreds and whites. He went into depth on the Historic Northside, and I do not want to steal his thunder, so do yourselves a favor and schedule a tour. It is SUPER interesting! I was there the weekend of the "Nuestras Raíces Zacatecanas: Art Exhibition" and Zacatecas Painter Juan Carlos Villegas' art was on display. Mr. Giron was informing me on the artists' vision on a couple of his pieces, and my mind was blown. There was a mixer with The Fort Worth Hispanic Chamber of Commerce recently, and there were Latin hand-made dresses and more paintings from Local Latin artists. So beautiful!!! The time, the love, the sweat, and I am sure, the tears that went into every piece were so perfectly orchestrated. They are worth every penny and more. The theater is currently still showing movies, live performances, and programs for the Local youth through their Non- Profit. The art gallery does events as well. It is great to know that we are keeping and supporting great Latin talent, programming, and events in our Beautiful Fort Worth. Mad Love to Mr. William Giron for his passion and love for The Historic Northside Fort Worth and Artes de La Rosa Cultural Center. Stop by and support them mi Gente. Let's never forget where we came from, and never stop fighting to get where we are...
Read moreGreat theatre experience watching “Estrella Lake” on 06/27/2025. Highly recommend attending the shows Artes de La Rose put together. They also have a cultural museum right next to the theatre auditorium, that was a great walkthrough and they had snacks and beverages that you could buy for the show (including their organization’s merch.) Never knew this place existed until City of FortWorth recommended them!
The place is located inside a suite with shops on both sides. The sign shows “Rose” with a rose shape sign, that’s the location for the Artes de La Rosa theatre.
Will visit the place again when they have future shows! Buy your tickets online, it’ll help to avoid the line.
Parking was easy to find, you can park right in front of the theatre, there’s curb side parking, or you can also park on the back side where there’s a large parking lot for other venues (next to Catholic Men’s Club). You can park there...
Read moreIt's already a humiliating and humbling experience to actually ask for assistance. Being a pillar of the community I think maybe we should be no dful of the manner in which we speak to people. Not just what we say, but more importantly the manner in which you deliver your message. Needless to say it wasn't a good experience for me and I did not follow through. I just went home. Best of luck to everyone else....
