Cavender's Stock Yards — Attraction in Fort Worth

Worst service EVER! Manager Bob was so rude and disrespectful. Bought my son a pair of boots on a Saturday afternoon and he wore them Saturday night. Something was causing him lots of pain, he took the boot off and his sock was full of blood. Turns out there was a tack or nail sticking straight up which caused a huge cut in my son's foot. Took back to the store and the salesman Chris was helpful. Told us to look at another pair. He then came back and said they would not be able to replace since they had been worn. I told him that we had just bought them and he said he'd talk to a manager. He then came back out and said they fixed them the best they could and that was all they could do. I asked to speak with the manager and I was directed to Bob who was waiting for me. I told him that I did not want that pair and it was unacceptable and they needed to replace them. He said sorry, you could buy a 1000 pair of boots and have the same result. I told him that I did not want to take this pair back and he said there was nothing else he would do in a very rude attitude. I came back with a bad temper and said that I was not leaving with the boots. He got loud and said what do you want? I said another pair of boots and he said no. He would give me a refund before he gave me another pair of boots which didn't make any sense. I asked why he was being so rude and he said because he was told I was going to be upset. I said how would you feel if your child came home with a sock full of blood and a cut from a new pair of boots we just bought and then get told that its just too bad. He said he didn't know that and i told him that he needed to ask and listen before having an attitude. I told him i was going to let everyone know how i was treated and he said to go right on ahead. This all happened in front of customers and it wasn't til I got louder and told the customers shopping to listen to how i was being treated that he said he'd replace the boots. They did not have what we wanted but at this point I will never buy anything from the stockyards store. I have yet to speak with the store manager but when I do, i hope they review customer service. This man Bob should go back...

This store had the worst customer service that I've ever experienced. Myself and two of my friends were looking for ladies boots, and ready to buy. We'd been looking at the small selection of boots they had on display for about 10 minutes, and were discussing what sizes we thought we'd need amongst each other. We went to find a sales associate to get our size, and saw one of the associates right behind us just watching us shop. She didn't greet us or offer to help, so I approached her asking if she'd get our necessary sizes since they only had one display out for every boot style. She acted as if my request was the biggest inconvenience, as she walked back to the stock room without even verbally acknowledging my request. They didn't have the right size of the boots that my friend wanted and the associate left it at that. When my friend said that those were the boots she wanted and she would buy them if they were in her size, the associate didn't offer to order the boots or check stores near where she's from. My friend ended up buying the boots online from a different store. Customer service and the shopping experience are the only things keeping the retail industry alive. And poor customer service like this is truly enough reason for myself and my friends to take our business elsewhere and to...

I have to admit that it was a huge change in appearance and in management.. I have been around this place for 25+ years (mainly when it was Luskeys).... It has been, (on multiple occasions since the takeover) an AMAZINGLY disappointing experience mainly in the managerial staff.. The assistant manager is lost and easily confused with the simplest of inquiries and it's seemingly the same every visit.... The only one that breathes life and professionalism into the place is the one who is still there even though all the original staff members are not......Dorothy is the foundation and backbone of the location and for anybody looking forward to never being disappointed with their visit Dorothy is the one too see... (just try not to overwork the beautiful young lady please!)... Its kind of a head-scratcher as to why she isn't running...
