Second edit: my MIL took my daughter. They had a horrible experience. The ladies were unfriendly, did not acknowledge them, and did a very poor job. The two ladies working on their nails talked to each other the whole time, not paying attention to the work they were doing. This resulted in my daughter getting cut and bleeding a long time and then my MIL nails look horrible- theyāre bubbly and chipped and they were just done a few hours ago. I will not recommend this place to anyone ever again. Which is unfortunate because the manager the first time was so nice.
I have to edit to include my most recent experience. My initial review is plaster below, after my first visit. Here is an update:
My second visit was okay. I took my husband and my children as a ātreat yourselfā day. We ended up spending a lot of money (as we expected), but weāre only somewhat pleased. Everyone was nice and cordial. The work was rushed but done decently well. I didnāt look at the prices before selecting on their menu (big complaint- you should have prices on the form we have to fill out) so I ended up spending $32 for my 2 year old to get their nails painted (I assumed a ākid mani/pediā was like the typical $10 nail painting š). But overall, no complaints.
The third visit is the one that made me not want to return. They knew to remove my nails (previously dipped) for free (I was getting them redipped), and they knew my daughters nails were being painted. They did not mention it was ten bucks to remove hers (I know itās only ten bucks, but that stuff adds up quickly and I wouldāve appreciated knowing that upfront). Anyways, after they already started removing hers they tell me how much itās going to be for her. Because I wasnāt planning on spending that much this trip, I said never mind just remove her nails and thatās all, Iāll paint them at home. From that point on the dynamic changed. The ladies seemed annoyed with me (could just be me, but Iām not usually sensitive about that stuff). Then they rushed through my nails. Did a sloppier job. They did look good on the surface, Iāll give her that! But there were clumps under my nail and I canāt stand that! Because of the clumps under my nails, 2 fingers have already chipped within 5 days of having them done. š Iām definitely disappointed and not sure Iāll be making the far drive to continue being seen at this location.
Original review: The absolute best experience. They got me in and out quickly, did an amazing job with my nails, were beyond friendly, plus complimentary drinks! An added bonus, the manager actually held my baby for me the whole time! Talk about customer serviceā¦haha. The lady next to me raved as well, saying this location is always that great. Every single time sheās there! Iām still shocked at how amazing these workers were and how clean and friendly the environment was. I will definitely be making this...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreHERES THE TEA: There's a difference between being "Not kid friendly" and being responsible business owners, but the result can look the same. Massage equipment is not designed for use by children. It also sets a poor precedent for a business to allow unattended children to play on expensive professional fixtures. If you're getting your nails done, no, you're not attending to your children. If a child would have been hurt, a parent would have blamed the business but in reality...well. Please don't badmouth a business for being responsible while having to deal with your little angels. It is not their job. I'm not associated with this business, in fact my first visit was today. But I am a mom. Even a perfectly behaved child should always be actively supervised in a nail salon. End of.
SO HERE'S A REAL REVIEW
Man, this place is busy on a Saturday afternoon. At first I thought my friend and I wouldn't be able to get in, let alone sit together. Despite the bustling business, we were allowed both, seated almost instantly and cared for flawlessly. We each chose services that were different; my friend had just a gel manicure and I had acrylic extensions. Despite the fact that my friend was done well before I was, her tech made a point to invite her to stay seated with me and chat with me until my service was done. Her tech was efficient and beautiful, she was gentle and sweet and made sure my friend was happy. My tech was very experienced, technically adept and detail oriented. I will be calling to ask for appointments with Alex because he did such a technically beautiful acrylic set on my nail beds, which are abused and thin and simply didn't deserve the artistry Alex applied.
So please give Deluxe your business. They deserve it. And if you have children who aren't old enough to sit quietly throughout your service without disrupting employees or other clients, please make arrangements for their care prior to your visit. You'll enjoy your pampering time more, and so will the other clients...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreSadly, this was one of the worst nail experiences Iāve had. I called ahead to make sure they offered white tipsāgot there, sat down, and the tech (I believe his name was Tom) started using clear tips. When I reminded him I wanted white tips, he sighed loudly with an attitude and said they donāt offer them anymore because they āturn yellowā (which has never happened to me before). He seemed annoyed the whole time, rushed through my set in 15 minutes, and when I told him the shape was too thick, he blamed my āshort nail bed.ā
When I turned on the massage chair, he actually told me no. I felt uncomfortable and honestly wanted to cry. Tracy, who did my pedi, was the only saving grace. She was so kind, offered me champagne, and made me feel seen and appreciated.
When I shared my concerns with the front desk, they asked if Iād let him fix them. I agreedāand instead of being apologetic, he doubled down and told me I shouldāve said something sooner. Then he asked, āHow would you even know how you like your nails if you havenāt gotten them done in 10 years?ā Which I never saidāI just told him it had been a while. It felt like I had to argue just to get decent service.
He fixed the nails (barely said a word), and I left with sore, cut cuticles and acrylic overlaying my skin. I had to ask for my first-time discount, which thankfully they honored. But overall, I left disappointed and upset.
This was my second terrible acrylic experience in the DFW area. Iāll either find an independent nail tech or go back to press-ons. Nails are expensive, and no one deserves to be disrespected or leave with thick, uneven nails that look like...
