I'd recommend just about ANY other Dick's location, except this one. My friend and I both went to separate Dick's locations on the same Wednesday night - and we were shopping for the exact same item. We had confirmed that this product was, in fact, listed (with their website's fancy green check mark) as AVAILABLE to purchase in store. Now, I'm not expecting every single floor rep. to know about every product and be able to memorize their location in a giant, retail superstore. But the fact is that at my location (Northeast Mall, Hurst, TX) - not only was a representative interested in helping me track the item down, but we were able to find it, together, in a matter of minutes.
In my friend's experience, she was told that the only item that they had even closely related to this was a different brand and product name, altogether. She finally called me about 15 minutes before the store closed, very anxious. The floor rep had been reminding her, every few minutes, that the store was about to close. (Directly, not a public or intercom announcement, addressing her with a warning-like tone) I could tell that she was flustered - and tried to calm her down while confirming, yet again, that the website had the item listed as both in-stock and available to purchase at this physical address. I even described the general area/look/packaging of the item - as I had found it in my own store. I could finally even hear the background voice of a sales rep making her leave. (It was still a few minutes prior to the closing time, according to my PC's clock...)
That being said, unless you absolutely KNOW that you do not need any help locating or pricing items, whatsoever, I wouldn't go to this location. Even then, you should be prepared for some treatment that confirms the very name of the retail...

We had the pleasure of standing in a line that wrapped around like it was Coachella, except instead of headliners, we got six employees behind the counter playing a thrilling game of "Move the Boxes, Accomplish Nothing." It was like performance art, but less inspiring.
One lone register was open. Just one. In a store so full it could’ve passed for a fire hazard. We witnessed not one, but two couples just abandon ship and leave their stuff behind like it was the Titanic. And honestly? We considered it too.
Now, I hate leaving bad reviews—but this was a fever dream of retail chaos. You’d think with that many people on payroll, someone might be allowed to scan a barcode. But no, those boxes weren’t going to awkwardly rearrange themselves.
Oh, and the cherry on top? Half the products were labeled wrong, and when I dared to ask about the price discrepancy, the cashier let out the kind of sigh that makes you feel like you inconvenienced her by wanting to buy something. She called for a manager, then immediately started texting like she was trying to get Taylor Swift tickets. Spoiler: the manager had already left for the day. Iconic.
Eventually, another employee—who seemed to be the only one mildly interested in helping humans—fixed the issue, and we sprinted out like we were escaping a hostage situation.

Read moreI had not gone to dicks in years because of a bad experience in the past and high prices. My husband and I were in the market for a new treadmill and decided to try the Dicks Alliance location. We had a great experience with wonderful customer service by all the staff. I was pleasantly surprised that the sale was pretty good too. We stopped in 11/30 before closing. Ty was so helpful, knowledgeable and genuinely cared about us. You could tell it gives her pride in helping out her customers. Ryanne was buzzing around working hard but stopped what she was doing to help us. Yonu, the manager, did everything in her power to get what we needed. Honestly I haven’t had that great of a customer service experience in years anywhere! There was also a young man (the only one I saw there) that was super helpful to the ladies and was going back there multiple times to check something for us and didn’t complain and had a great attitude. And a young lady who was picking up the slack everywhere else because the crew was helping us. She was great too. I wish I had gotten everyone’s names but I hope corporate sees this and recognizes these staff members because these days, it’s difficult to find inspired, kind, genuine people who care about their jobs! Whoever is doing the hiring here, great job. And great job on Dicks for creating a fun work environment for these people.
