Krietz Auto — Attraction in Frederick

Stay away from crooked Krietz! After finding what I thought was my perfect truck on the Krietz webpage, I left them a $500 deposit to hold the truck until I got there since I was coming from out of town. I was told the deposit was not refundable unless there was an issue with the truck (this turned out to be a lie). So I make the 500 mile trip, the day before my appointment so I could be there when they open at 8:00. The first thing that went wrong was my salesperson didn’t show up at 8:00. After some awkward scrambling by the Krietz team I was assigned another salesperson who was also working with another customer at the same time which made things a little chaotic for him. I test drove the truck and everything seemed ok except it had 500 more miles on it than advertised. When I got back I inspected the truck and was surprised to find surface rust on the underside of the truck including the frame. It turns out the truck was from Canada and even though it only spent a year there the winter roads were not kind to this truck. Coming from South Carolina this was a deal breaker as we do not get rust on our vehicles here. Having come this far, and with Krietz having a nice inventory of trucks I began to shop around. The first 3 trucks I found happened to be from Canada also so I didn’t even look at them. I did find a ZR2 that I liked and it was in good condition. It was however priced several thousand higher than I could buy a brand new one for back home. Krietz was not interested in moving much on the price so I had to walk away disappointed to be headed back to South Carolina without a truck. I was so disappointed I forgot to mention my deposit before I left. I spoke to the salesman and the manager and both refused to give me back my deposit. They claimed that surface rust is no big deal and even brand new vehicles have it (more lies). So not only am I out my travel expenses but now the $500 deposit as well. I shopped long and hard for the perfect truck. I drove 4 hours to test drive some. I drove one and needed no further decision making. I loved it. I was told during paperwork that theee was a minor issue with electrical components in the steering wheel. But it was fixed by the ford dealership that was 20 miles away and not the one 9 miles away. I trusted it was no big deal and was taken care of. I had to be home immediately for work and had a four hour drive home in my new truck. Well after driving through Frederick and finally hitting the highway I realized the left hand side of the steering wheel buttons didn’t work at all. So I contacted Krietz and they said they would come get it and get it handled. They drove four hours and towed it back 4 hours. I thought that was nice. Then the waiting to hear from Marissa at Krietz. Was very delayed in her responses. I went a week with very few messages. I kept getting the run around on a status report. They kept blaming the dealer the dealer kept blaming programming programming blamed the dealer and Krietz. Long story short The ford dealership took 42 days to did my cruise control and volume button cluster. I asked for a refund a new truck or for them to just bring it back to me and I’ll use my dealership. They would not do any of that without costing me another arm and a leg. I later found out that they frequently hide things like this to get the sale. Once the sale happens they got you and they got you good. Don’t believe me Read the ex-employee testimonies on the BBB. They are family owned and operated behind closed doors making sure they can sneak warrantee work out the door. Pay $60,000 cash for a truck that you can’t drive for 42 days and then tell me they can’t do anything about it. Bet you’d be leaving a 3star or worse review too. . Highly Recommend! Honest, Helpful, and Truly Caring Team

I bought a 2024 Bronco Badlands from Krietz about a month ago, and let me tell you—this truck is a beast! They did an awesome job with the modifications, and it looks amazing. Everyone at Krietz was great to work with—kind, professional, and made the whole process smooth.

Unfortunately, not long after purchasing, I started noticing a small issue with the truck. I got really worried because I spent $65000 for this truck and already have a problem—$65,000 is a lot of money, especially for someone like me who’s not made of money. I took it to a Ford dealership hoping that they could fix the problem. They kept it for a week and then told me nothing was wrong, but I wasn’t convinced. I’ve driven a lot of vehicles over the years, and I could tell something wasn’t right. It honestly felt like they just didn’t want to deal with it, because they were not going to make money out of it. After all, the truck is still under factory warranty.

To be sure, I went to a certified mechanic for a second opinion—and they found the issue right away: the driveshaft needed to be replaced.

At that point, I was frustrated and unsure of what to do next. I didn’t want to go back to the Ford dealership just to get the runaround again. So I called Krietz, hoping they could help since I had just bought the truck from them. Without hesitation, they told me to bring it in and they’d take care of it.

I brought the truck to them and within a couple of days, they reached back out to inform me that they would fix my truck with zero cost.

That gesture really meant a lot, not all car dealerships will do what Krietz did to me. Krietz didn’t just sell me a badass truck—they stood by it and by me. They’re honest, helpful, and truly treat you like family. I couldn’t be happier to be part of the Krietz family now that I have this badass Bronco.
