High Definition Studio & Barbershop — Attraction in Gainesville

If I was scoring this barber shop after my first 2 visits it would be an easy 5, however my most recent visit has somewhat tainted my overall experience. Barber was 30 minutes late for my appointment (which I was fine with, weather has been less than perfect and it was 3 days before Xmas) but compared to the cut I got from the same barber before, this one didn’t feel the same. My 45 minute appointment was rushed through so I was ‘done’ in 30 minutes or so. Didn’t have much product put on my hair so when I looked in the mirror at the end everything looked good. When I got home to wash my hair and then style it I found a lot of inconsistencies with the cut.

There are different lengths all over the top of my hair, with some spots being 2-3x longer in places. The beard work and clipper work beforehand was done very well but the main part of the style varies so much in length that I can’t really wear it how I’d like.

I tried calling twice on the same day as the cut to see if I could get in and have it fixed, but nobody contacted me back (still true as of December 26th). I also filled out their online contact form which has also been ignored. I feel if I’m paying $50 for a cut (before gratuity) I should be a lot happier with it then I currently am. It’s a shame, if someone had reached out and offered for it to be rectified it would be all good, but the fact that nobody followed up after my message and attempts to call have soured my overall impression of...

It took me some time to finally begin writing this review due to the fact that I truly wanted to capture the words that would truly express how wonderful my experiences have been with High Definition Studios over the years. This shop is absolutely phenonemal in every sense of the word; From the consistency of the shop cleanliness to their professionalism to the fact that every single barber and stylist can flat out cut-style hair!!! I mean it...Traditionally in most shops you find that there is always one or two barbers that are really good and the rest, just mediocre. Well, this shop seemingly was built for perfection and if you're not the best or at least striving to become the best, you're not their type of professional. All-in-All....Rather you're in a hurry, need a house-call, designs, etc, the High Definition team can take care of your every need! I'm honored to leave this review for such an awesome group of skilled professionals.

Best haircut I have ever had. I had thought about going to a barber shop but never did because I didn't think I would fit in a place like this, but after my experience here, I now know that a barber shop is the only place a person should go to get a haircut. When I first came in, everyone was super nice and friendly and I was able to be seen right then, but I lucked out, you should make an appointment first. I talked with my barber about what I was looking for and when he started I could tell that he knew what he was doing. He shaped my head and trimmed my beard exactly how I wanted it, and even made suggestions that turned out great. Since my first visit, I went on their website to make another appointment. The web site is well made and organized and it was very easy to select the barber you want, then select the service, then select the date and time, and finally pay and add the tip.
