Galveston Historic Harbor Tours — Attraction in Galveston

Baywatch Island Tours was a comfortable way to get an overview of the island because their small bus (similar to an airport shuttle) is air conditioned. The guide knew a little bit about everything, and delivered info about Galveston in an entertaining way. Highly recommend for the first day you're in town! I have two pieces of advice, however. First, we also took a different tour in Galveston (quack quack) and the two tour operators told literally the exact same jokes about being an "international city" etc. That was weird. Second, recommend Baywatch Island Tours be consistent with pricing. We walked up to buy our tickets from the kiosk and were told the tour cost $20. We asked why it said $15 on Tripadvisor, and the employee then said "I can do $15." So why were we told $20 first? Seems like he was just going to pocket the additional $5, and left us feeling that it was an unprofessional operation. Overall, though, you should take this tour because it's worth the $15 price and you'll learn...

The AC bus was right on time, very clean and comfortable. Our tour guide, Capt. Glen Tanner, was both extremely knowledgeable and personable! As we meandered at a leisurely pace through the historic side streets Our guide was spewing out facts and figures at an incredible rate. You can tell he loves his job and is quite good at it! He also told Many funny stories and jokes along the 45 minute tour.

This was a great tour of the Island. Very comfortable new buses and the driver/guide was friendly and knowledgeable. Its more than sightseeing.I learned a lot about the history of key points on the island. I was glad I decided to go. It's affordable and fun. Thanks Baywatch Island Tours....
