The tall ship Elissa is a must-see on our trips to Galveston. Tickets can be purchased at the adjacent Seaport Museum. Tickets are for both the museum and the Elissa. There is a cute little gift shop with gift ideas for most anyone. The Seaport Museum has been changed up since our last visit several years ago. The self guided tour guides you through the path of an immigrant coming to America. The exhibits reflect many of Galvestons landmarks. But the best part is boarding the Sailing Ship Elissa and exploring how people traveled back in the day. The crew berths and cabins seem ridiculously tiny to modern eyes. BONUS: the USS Texas is clearly visible across the harbor in dry dock being repaired and prepared for it new berth hopefully near the museum!

"The Ellis Island of the Southwest" exhibit is immersive, imaginative, and informative. Love, love, loved learning about the history of the island! There were mannequins, screens, luggage, bunks, and signs, as well as audio throughout. Definitely stop by.

We did the Harbor Tour with Captain Lauren and Jason! It was absolutely amazing! We got to see so many dolphins while learning about Galveston's history and port in a fun and inviting manner!

Family Friendly!

Captain Lauren was very personable and friendly and Jason was very knowledgeable.

10/10 recommend!

We got the whole package with the museum and harbor tour $28 per adult, definitely worth...

We took the immigration tour today and thought it was really well done. I enjoyed their stories quite a bit and the interactive details. I'm glad there was a mention of Juneteenth as it was pretty well centered on European immigration. Unfortunately we couldn't get on the sailing ship as it was it was sailing the harbor but it's cool that it is still seaworthy and this...
