I really should give them 0 stars, but not sure that's an option. My first clue should have been when my total knee replacement was delayed several weeks because the Banner Imaging department had an old phone number for me from 10 years ago or more, even though I had recently filled out all my current information at the surgeon's office before the imaging was requested. Since they could not reach me on that old number, they gave up and nobody ever notified me. Finally, I called them and they realized the problem. That's when they told me that Banner Imaging computers don't communicate with Banner providers. What? Prior to scanning, the surgeon looked at my leg for about 30 seconds and told me that a knee replacement would change my life. Well, it has done that since now I can barely walk. 4 months after surgery, I'm suffering from massive sciatica and other pains in my entire right leg and foot. They never gave me enough pain killers and I've had to call numerous times for a refill that they can't seem to get right on the dosage and frequency. I've certainly not been neglectful of my Physical Therapy, either. I've been doing the exercises at home 2-3 times a day since day 1 and going to the Banner PT facility numerous times per week for 15 weeks! I still cannot bend my knee sufficiently, so now seeking other specialists that might be able to help me. All around, very disappointing,...
Read moreJohn Toth: (1) failed to answer any of the questions I had regarding an upcoming surgery to repair a fully torn rotator cuff tendon, rudely exiting my room while I was talking (he failed to return to my room); and (2) began touching my dressing that included a PICC line (for a previous surgery, not related to Toth) without sanitizing his hands beforehand. The fact that Toth showed an ostensible failure to detail and a lack of bedside manner leads to a lack of confidence among patients, raising legitimate concern over his ability to adequately meet expected surgical outcomes of the repair, in addition to potentially not taking necessary precautions to mitigate possible infection during surgery.
FYI: I called Toth’s office and also messaged Toth through the Portal after my visit regarding my concerns. Toth failed to reach out to me. Consequently, I have started the process of searching for another physician to...
