Went last night and was horrified. Not only is the customer service horrible, the place was a mess. We started by walking in with our VIP scans. My husband's wouldn't pull up and new to the theatre is WiFi for us to pull up as service isn't good there (not their fault) but the staff rude young teens acting as if we are idiots blew me away. The girl scanning could care less sent us to the two sales people chatting about whatever someone did yesterday when they were hanging out, we asked for help neither knew what to do. We asked the a manager and the young man acted as if he was I looked at him and said your the manager? He got a little squirmy, I said I would call you the manager up here. A young man came a few minutes later he was kind and I explained what happen. The young man that acted as if he was a manager had also stated that may be management should teach then things about the new WiFi and other stuff while rolling his eyes. I told the real manager about this, he assured me they had all be taught it was clear they didn't care. So we proceed to get popcorn and drinks. The lady that helped us was nice I noticed staff rude to her and when we asked for napkins that were out in more then one place they didn't care at all said just keep looking. The bar is closed..the movie starts at 10 and it's 9:30 and the bar is closed on a Saturday night? Me being me I asked just right around us, 7 people would have bought from the bar last night. 2 of the 7 said they would have got 2 rounds just to make it through the movie. Same with my husband and I. You lost money there last night. I then realized we have not been told what theatre we are in. I go back to ask the manager he tells me, says sorry again I said you know all of these adding up and they blame you, sorry for you but this is horrible. no offer of anything for my husband and i...jist sends us on the way. We head to the bathroom and theatre. The bathroom is a mess both men and women's. To the point we took pictures. We head to the theatre, mess all over floors, every trash overflowing. The theatre just starting messy and trash is overflowing as well. (Also pics) sit down trash on the floor, in between the seats. Just nasty. After 6pm no 6 year olds are allowed in r rated movies. It's not in forced as we heard a young girl crying during the movie when leaving she had fallen asleep. Help in force that rule so others can enjoy. We leave and the place is still just as messy so the almost 2 hours we were there trash wasn't touched, nore the bathrooms or floors in the hallways. We are just completely shocked and disappointed. I feel bad for the young man that was the manager last night but the same time he let the messes be...
Read moreAMC Arrowhead 14 is great overall, but it does have its quirks. First, the good. The theater is clean as theaters go, and the seats are roomy and quite comfortable. Once you experience their recliners, you will never want to patronize any theater without them. The ability to order your tickets--and your seats--ahead of time online is also a fantastic leap into the future. Every single trip, you have exactly the seats you chose--no surprises. They even have a bar for those who need a little help relaxing.
That said, getting concessions can be quite an adventure. If you are not a member of their paid stubz premiere program, prepare to be frustrated in long lines that do not move when members are present, who take priority. If you are a member--and at just $10/yr it is hard not to sign up for the discounts alone--you will be the subject of glares and hostility from people who refuse to participate out of ignorance or principle. I have watched many grown men and women throw temper tantrums and leave the theater. This is not an exaggeration.
One might think AMC's online ordering system would save the day here, too. In theory, it should; however, I have used it twice with a 100% rate of failure to deliver my order. The last time, the AMC employee tried to deliver it to someone in a different row. I had to chase him down to get it, at which point he accused me of selecting the wrong seat number. I told him it was possible, accepted the order, and checked the receipt. It had the correct seat number, and he had simply been quick to blame someone else--the customer, in this case.
All things considered, I would much rather come to this theater and those like it than any others. Quirks and all. If you have not been to the movies in a while, you owe it to yourself to give this place a visit. Try one of the Dolby theaters for an extra treat. Just... stay away from the "gourmet" flavored popcorn. Packing popcorn is cheaper and...
Read moreI am disappointed with my recent experience at your theater during the 10:00 PM showing of "Bad Boys" on Friday, June 7th. Unfortunately, what was once a very pleasant venue has significantly declined in quality and safety ruing our date night.
Issues: Safety Concerns: After having our tickets scanned, we waited in line for snacks and drinks. During this time, we witnessed a man dressed in all black, wearing a hoodie, being escorted out. However, he was not taken completely out of the theater, allowing him to linger in the lobby and shout at customers and employees, making everyone uncomfortable. The manager and security guard handled the situation poorly and should have ensured the individual was fully removed from the premises to protect the customers.
Cleanliness: lobby soda machines were gross. We arrived 15-20 minutes before the show and were met with a sign indicating the theater was being cleaned. However, upon reaching our seats, we had to clean them ourselves as they were covered in crumbs and trash. This was not the level of cleanliness we expected.
Comfort: Watching the movie was extremely uncomfortable due to the heat. The temperature inside the theater (Dolby Theater 4) felt like it was at least 80+ degrees. As a result, we were sweating throughout the film, with our legs stuck to the chairs. Preventing my girlfriend and I to be close. Living in Arizona, we expect indoor venues to be adequately air-conditioned, especially during the summer.
Women's Bathroom: The condition of the women's bathroom was inexcusable. The toilet paper was not properly in dispensers, only one soap dispenser worked, and the paper towel dispenser was overly stuffed, making it difficult to retrieve a towel without tearing it. Moreover, there was a lack of privacy, as other occupants could see into the stalls.
I hope these issues...
