You must be kidding me. I have been busy but today I have time to write this review. This establishment was a complete joke. A building for kids ran by kids! No professionalism, customer service skills, sense of urgency, nor common sense SERIOUSLY. This review is not coming from a disgruntled guest. This review is coming from a business man aspect. I went online to select a nice facility/atmosphere for my daughter Violet’s 5th Birthday Party. I selected LOL because of the attractions, the party planning, the food, the package and to try somewhere new and hopefully pass the word on. The only word I will be passing is “TRASH”. As soon as we entered the building I felt uncomfortable being questioned numerous times. I didn’t even have my breath together from running back and forth from the car to bring in gifts before being questioned like the fbi. My wife couldn’t use my card even though she had my ID/same credit card and I was coming to and from the counter with gifts. The pizza was brought out as soon as we got there and got cold before all the guest arrived. I asked to bring them 1 by 1 and was told it was too late. It was my daughters party so I did not want to make an issue but I ordered 7 pizzas. Do you see 7 people yet! lol. Little kids running a business. The rides were old fashioned and out of date. They had an employee literally spinning the kids around in a seat as the ride circled. I wish I could upload a video. I know her arms were tired. You had employees keep asking me about a wrist band even though kids are clearly flipping and spinning in a bouncy house. Fool this is the birthday girl! Her wristband fell off. Stop asking me about the wristband over and over. These 8 kids are with me lol. It felt like jail in a way. The worstt part of the day was me dealing with the manager! I asked for a manager when I first arrived because I was not allowed to bring my tied down balloons in that I spent $50 dollars on that morning. My contract stated that i could bring them if tied down. When I asked for a manager the girl at the front desk said my host was a manager. My host was only “The Host” and clearly not someone who was in charge. The answers I received Saturday were borderline disrespectful. I asked for a real manager and she called another guy for me. This little boy was soooooo arrogant and egotistical. It was like I was talking to a 5th grader about my discrepancies. He kept cutting me off, talked so immature, resolved no issues, and even TRIED to cut my conversation short and said he was done talking. Yea right! Lol. LONG STORY SHORT this place is trash. Not worth the 600+ I spent at all. Take your kids to Urban Air. This family owned business needs to stop what they are doing. You hiring little kids to run A Business talking to seasoned adults. Let me run it. What a...
Read moreHad my stepson's birthday party here yesterday. I have never been here before yesterday (LOL if you don't count when it was Jeepers), so here is an honest review.
Feedback:
Website needs updating. It's outdated.
Communication from beginning to end of booking: Great job, Toni & Matthew. Very responsive and detailed. Wonderful!
Prices: Actual attraction prices are reasonable, but food prices are a little pricey. However, with inflation & all other things to consider, it's to be expected. No biggie. Didn't care for the pizza much but the plain party wings were pretty good. Not sure if they come in different flavors. I don't know if there was an actual menu to order from but it's not listed clearly on the website..... some sliders or chicken tenders would have been nice.
Check-in: Now while I did arrive at 1:42pm (life happens), and was asked to arrive 30 minutes before party start time of 2:00pm, there was a delay with another party. My suggestion would be to have someone else available to do check-in especially when there's no other customers waiting to be helped by the other person at the Front Desk. It took time for the party host AND the front desk person to get this family situated and it wasn't until well after 2pm that the party host was able to walk us to our tables. There were other employees at the Front Desk laughing & joking around that could have been trained to help with check-ins & setup while I was standing there waiting and that was frustrating to be honest. My mom was on crutches....we didn't anticipate the wait..
We saw the birthday stars (kids' names) on the wall at the entrance, but our kid's name wasn't there.... and we came the day before to pay off our balance and it was the same names, but were told that those names weren't for the parties of that day...
Music/DJ: While that is definitely a nice touch, we were seated right by a speaker. The music was so loud that we couldn't hear ourselves singing "Happy Birthday". :-(
As other reviews have stated, it does look a bit "dated" inside to its entirety. Could definitely use some modernization. Floors & walls need to be touched up. Signage all around (including outside) could use some updating/modernization, too.
Party Host: I didn't even catch her name, but she was AMAZING at helping. She was shared with other parties AND doing other tasks, but she was ON IT! Literally no complaints about her.
Have you ever thought about adding mini bowling lanes?? What about a rewards or membership program?
The kids REALLY enjoyed themselves and that was the best part of...
Read moreBAD JOKE!! I will never spend $55 for my 2 kids who are 6 and 2 to come here again. This is a bad bad bad joke. we got there at 5:30 on Friday night 1/25, we paid $55 for two kids to ride all the unlimited games they have. They literally have like 2 rides and 1 is broken and the others are so slow that the workers HAVE TO PUSH the rides!!!! The people working there are all kids and ghetto dancing to the music on the speaker. My daughter wanted to ride the roller coaster but I couldn't get on because I had to have a band but I wasn't going to pay another $25 for myself, to make it a total of $75 for one ride. We stayed about 35 minutes which is so heartbreaking and frustrating knowing I spent so much. This place should is a JOKE! Seriously go to skyzone and save $30! Go to HyperKidz in Ellicott City which will be so much better than this place. I never write reviews but this place was so disappointing after spending so much money you get NOTHING. A man at the front (tall, slim and dark skinned with curly hair) also told my husband that he cant stand behind the rope to see my daughter come down the slide. There is a section for waiting???? I wanted to confront him but it wasn't the place and my anger that the time was not going to get better confronting this worker. Honestly, the bottom line is that this is not a place for young children and they should price it differently and get rides that actually work. I was bugled eyes seeing the workers push the rides to make them move. PLEASE USE THIS AS A WARNING AND DO NOT COME HERE!!!!!
EDIT* I also wanted to point out that the arcade games are all old or not working. We asked the girl at the front, how long the place has been opened, she had mentioned four years and everything is OLD, like OLD, like 1997 OLD.when I asked the man that works there if the machine was working he said what's the problem? The game barely worked as we were playing the wack a mole, the alligator barely came out. I am so upset that we paid so much money. Seriously this is a waste. The only good thing about this place was a Hispanic boy working at the Olympic station who helped my son a few times as he was going through the course. Again This is a true experience as I am writing this I am hoping someone reads this and changes their mind about this place. BAD BAD BAD BAD BAD BUSINESS!!!!!!! I WOULDNT EVEN COME...
