Store is a little chaotic with its physical organization. They had two checkout places. One in the back of the store and one in the front. We only saw the one in the back, so we went to that one. We were told by a manager to head to the front checkout because there was no line while the cashier in the back checkout dealt with a customer. We went up to the front, and there’s about 6 people in the line, and one cashier.
The cashier called for assistance and no one showed up until about 6 minutes later, and it was three people (presuming managers) that came up, saw her situation, and then immediately left Instead of helping her themselves. One manager jumped in the place of the original cashier while she went away for a few minutes. The cashier comes back, and immediately jumps back to checking out the same customer she was helping before she left. The manager (rather than helping get the line down, which at this point had about 15 people) starts scanning and discounting returns from a shelf…. A second cashier that was pulled from the back comes up and immediately jumps in to help…but the manager keeps asking them questions about the returns while they are trying to help people check out.
Not a good experience. Don’t come here unless you want to spend more time waiting in a line watching a circus than doing...
Read moreLet me start off with I went on a Friday morning on 8/25/2023 and the store was crowded, both end of the store's check out lines were super long, and there was no "Social Distancing"! Some areas in the store were a mess. There was an endcap with some summer clearance. I spent about an hour there untangling some wind chimes strings. They had a large health and beauty section as well as snacks. People were school shopping. Small children were crying throughout the store for whatever reason! It was becoming irritating to hear all the crying. There were only two cashiers working at the checkout. Loss Prevention was very visible and catching customers with anti theft tags still on merchandise that should have been removed by the cashier. I use to shop at Burlington's Coat Factory in the 70s and it was nothing like what I experienced on this day. Let me not to forget my cashier's attitude. No greeting, no eye contact, and no care about my shopping experience. She acted like she really didn't want to wait on me or she just did not want to work! There is another location that I might check out...
