If I start to write about my experience here yesterday, being July 11th 2024, this page will not be enough.
The OWNER of this restaurant apparently knows NOTHING about the relationship between a CUSTOMER & a POTENTIAL customer. He believes that because you are yet to patronize him, you are NOT a customer.
I wish I could rate this sore a MINUS ZERO(- 0) due to lack of customer service/relations. He needs some SERIOUS training on that especially for him to know that it is NOT only FOOD he is selling. He became verbally aggressive towards me the instant I dropped the American accent & picked up my Nigerian accent & he caught on that I am from his tribe & country where they're very aggressive with igbo women.
I could go on and on. However, it is not going to succeed in painting the correct picture of the horror of this experience with the owner of the store/restaurant who DEFINITELY needs to do better ASAP.
Really sad.
Update - coincidentally, a father-figure sent me there to get some food for myself(he literally ordered me). I ordered/paid for Oha & Poundo yam.
The Cashier - by name Mercy was amazing. So polite & nice. The only change I'm making in the rating though, is for the food. Believe me when I say I'm never a biased person. I am a cook too so, I know good food when I eat it. The soup was made with ọha quite alright but did not taste like ọha soup. It just didn't. It tasted like something that tomato stew was added to, to make it somewhat tasty. It has already been paid for so, it gast be eaten. 🤷🏾♀️🤷🏾♀️ The moment I finished the Poundo yam, I packed up the soup. The 3 stars ✨ I gave the food is actually for the goatmeat. I liked & enjoyed it, because it was boiled to near-perfection - not hard to chew at all but not too soft either.. For me personally, I boiled it till you can chew the bone but the meat will still not be overcooked to become near-soggy. So, that was my only positive takeaway...
Read moreI have been looking for an African Cuisine Restaurant/Place to order for almost a year now. My co-workers would share their lunches with me and I fell in love with African food. I am hispanic and eat similar dishes but African food has a different kick to it😁 I have read reviews of different places but I have been hesitant about ordering. I read great reviews of Jodeem and promised myself to go in one day and check them out. Me and my husband went there today 9/27/21 and this will be my spot!! I believe we spoke to the owner when placing and order. My husband ordered the oha soup with fufu and the owner was very kind to make other suggestions since this dish is a type of tribe dish (from what I understood) but my husband went with it anyways. I was craving for cassava leaf with beef and rice. We dined in and I know it is custom on how to eat the fufu so I explained that part to my husband and also the water basin for washing hand/finger. Needless to say, I ate some oha soup and fufu too because it looked so damn yummy!!! I just had to let the owner know because I imagine it can be nerve wrecking sometimes when people of different cultures try your food and you want them to like it, you know. I let him know both dishes were soooo good soo yummy!! He was very nice and I am very happy he owns this cuisine restaurant/place. I hope he reads this review and knows he is much appreciated for his food and I will be returning to try other dishes. Thank you so much and God bless you and your...
Read moreWorst service in my entire life... I placed an order through Uber Eats. Curry Goat for $16.99 and UberEats said 3 beef Patty for $5.00. With taxes and delivery all was $30.48. When my order got here there was only two Patties one chicken and another one fish, along with a note from manager saying I gave you an extra fish patty and a chicken patty all in the same bag. Stated he tried to call me fist. Then I looked at the curry Goat. Yeah tons of rice but only 3 small pieces of goat meat and had more bones than actual meat. I call owner to explain to him that there where supposed to be 3 patty not 2 based on menu. Told him where was the rest of the meat, told him I was allergic to fish. And he rudely yelled at me saying go deal and complain to Uber Eats. Had he not added a fish patty along with the food I had estén it but everything was mixed in and I wasn’t going to risk esting that food to be rushed to the hospital do to my seafood allergies. This guy is inconsiderate and does not know how to provide his clients with customer service. He had no empathy at all. I will be calling health department on this business. And will post comments everywhere about this terrible experience. And he’ll all my friends and family not...
