I recently visited EZ Kabob Restaurant with two friends, and unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing. We ordered the Lamb Shank, which was supposed to come with a free salad, sauce, and naan according to the menu. However, the waiter informed us that they were not included, and we ended up paying extra for it.
After waiting 10-15 minutes, our order arrived, but the food was unacceptable. The lamb shank was cold, and the inside was literally frozen—you could feel the ice! The rice also tasted stale, as if the entire dish had been reheated in a microwave. We called the waiter to report the issue, and while he did take the food back, the replacement, which took another long wait, seemed like the same dish, just warmed up for longer.
One of us ordered tea at the beginning of the meal, but it didn’t arrive until the very end, despite several reminders. To make matters worse, the staff didn’t apologize for any of these issues.
This was our first time dining at EZ Kabob, and it will definitely be the last. With poor food quality and subpar customer service, I can’t understand how this place has a 4-star rating. Very disappointing...
Read moreI went to EZ Kabob three times - never again. The food that we tried was good: beef samosas, falafel wraps, and french fries. The prices on their main entrees are quite high for a restaurant in a somewhat run-down mall. Where they lost stars was their preparation time. On the first two visits we were told it would take twenty minutes for the food to come out. It took 30 and 40. I tried to make allowances. It was a new restaurant. On the third visit, I was told once again that it would take 20 minutes. I knew this wouldn't be accurate, so I went to run a couple of errands in the mall. When I got back it had been over 40 minutes and there was no sign of my order. I pointed this out to the order taker. He seemed to have no concept of what time was. When it had gotten close to an hour, I got angry, told them to keep what I had paid, and left. I said I would never return. I do not like having my time wasted, and I do not like being lied to. I said they could keep the money, but I am going to dispute the charge. Bottom line: if you have a lot of time and don't mind being misled, this restaurant...
Read moreI hate giving a bad review to a Muslim-owned business, but people need to know before they go.
First, there are many things on the menu that they don’t sell. Call ahead to know what they actually have.
The menu says (in large font) that all entrees come with sauce, naan, and salad. I ordered the chicken biryani in person, and they refused to give me any sauce, bread, or salad after asking repeatedly. This is false advertising.
The register and kitchen are staffed by two male children who are clearly exhausted. The younger kid gave me the wrong food (lamb instead of chicken) and argued with me when I told him that wasn’t my order. I have a high spice tolerance, but the biryani was intolerable to eat without ranch sauce, which I had to buy from the grocery since the restaurant refused to give me any white sauce.
Lastly, the business hours posted on their flyer, website, and google are wrong. They close at 6 PM on Sundays, which needs...
