El Taco Rico — Restaurant in Greenbelt

Usually this place is great. Never had an issue and I personally love their chicken quesadillas. Unfortunately on 4/10 I passed their number down to my mother in law to order some food and pick it up. She is a first timer going to this spot. One of the lady’s was very rude to her and stated that if she wanted specific sauce she had to let them know before hand thru the phone. She entered and no one greeted her and as 7-10 mins pass by still nothing until, she asked for help and then they proceeded to ask her what could they help her with. She said she was waiting for pick up 6 quesadillas and the lady told her to wait and they they were making them. Mind you they called to place the order overall we are talking about 40+ mins now. A different lady came from the back and asked her what she could help her with and my in law said I’m waiting on 6 quesadillas. The lady told her that they were on the counter ready. My in law then obviously unhappy said that how was she suppose to know that and that no one told her anything. The lady then stated that the other woman was new and didn’t know. All in all, communication was terrible and as a restaurant they handle things very unorganized. The wait time for food is ridiculously long. As a customer and a first timer it was a horrible experience and it very disappointing. A customer isn’t going to just grab a bag of food from their counter without anyone who works there specifically tell them to do so. Food wise this place is a solid 4 stars. I ordered 3 tacos de lengua and one quesadilla. The tacos were delicious! The quesadilla was huge. For some reason though, this place doesn’t sell your typical cheese with choice of protein quesadillas. I ordered a chicken quesadilla. when it was brought to my table my quesadilla was massive and they put shredded lettuce inside of it as well as shredded queso on top of that fact that it already has melted cheese. Overall it was good. But I don’t think that’s what you call a quesadilla. First time I ever had a quesadilla with two types of cheese and lettuce inside of it. The place is a small cozy restaurant inside Greenbelt mall. A couple complaints is that they need to do a better job on cleaning up the tables and clearing it for customers to sit down. Also they have a menu on the wall with pictures of the food but NO PRICES. So you’re ordering food and not even knowing how much it’s gonna cost or how much the total will be until the nice lady charging tells you the final price after punching in the orders on the register. Came here and ordered 1 tortas and some seafood soup to go. Got my food almost an hour later after she told me 20 minutes, and something told me to check the soup since it looked a little light. They didn't give me my crab, I asked what happened to the crab that come with it, and she said "we're out of crab, so we gave you extra shrimp", I didnt pay $18 for shrimp soup. When I asked for a refund, she took the soup from the back and miraculously came back with crab in the soup!!! I would give zero stars, but you can't. Also, there's no prices anywhere, so they could be charging you whatever they feel...
