Constant problems and drama from this store’s employees and management. Frequently visited and have issues with prices wrong on merchandise. Manager told me they don’t have the same prices in store as online yet the item was selected for same day pickup in that store with the same price printed on the label but he said it’s not in the system and can’t sell it so he could avoid price matching (which is not GS policy, they’ve always price matched their own site).
I Picked up a copy of a game pre-owned for $13.99 that rang up for $49.99. The label was printed within 3 weeks and even the website still had the same pre owned price listed. Employee didn’t know how to price match (which is fine but the manager shouldn’t leave a new hire to run the store alone without expecting phone calls or to be available for help) so she called the manager and he wouldn’t answer. She resorted to calling another store and they were unavailable as well. Manager finally calls back after 20 minutes and tries to push off a new copy to me instead for $34.99 and told her not to sell the used copy. The new copy was originally $49.99 as well in store but online for $34.99 so obviously price matching is in their capabilities.
Seems to me that management will do everything in their power to prevent price matching their own website or mistakes just to scam someone into purchasing for a higher amount. We all know GS rips off people but this is a new low. Honor your advertised prices and don’t rip people off just because you feel like it.

I got three completely different stories from 3 employees about the release had there been any upfront knowledge that a midnight release wasn't going to happen here I would've went to a different store. Instead I got lied to three times about the pick up only to get told that I can pick it up launch day. Now while this may seem petty and a little matter to some people this is a big deal for me coming from poverty and having my friends grow up and tell me the cool stuff that happens so I was beyond excited for the switch 2s release and now that won't be taking place. This is the final nail in the coffin not only will I not be using gamestop for a pre-order ever again but I won't be using them at all...
Read moreMy family and I spent a solid thirty minutes here enjoying the surprising selection they have managed to fit into such a small store. Our experience was good until as I was checking out, the cashier asked if I wanted to add their warranty to either game I was purchasing and when I said I would like to add it to The Last Guardian, she snickered then said "You won't keep that game for a year." I felt this was presumptuous and unprofessional, especially being a huge fan of Fumito Ueda's work and the fact that I was spending nearly $120. If we hadn't been having such a great day as a family, I would have walked out and informed them I would be taking my business to one of the Easley locations where I have always received stellar service.
