UPDATE: (10/19/19): Decided against my better judgment, I took my family of four back for another movie. This time, it was so deafeningly loud that we had to hold our hands over our ears through the entire movie! We weren't along either! Numerous other patrons complained out loud, "we won't come back." I called the manager to speak about this (I had to wait nearly 15 minutes to get in-touch. The manager said they have equipment they CAN test this. He didn't say they do test, but he can. Okay, you get the movies early enough that you should be concerned with this each and every time! You could cause permanent hearing damage to customers! Way too loud!
Shocked that a place this new is this bad. Small theater (not many rows of seats. Extremely loud. So loud that my entire family of five had to cover our ears for nearly entire movie. My ears are still hurting from it (yesterday). The "new" seats sink way too much for me as I'm only 150lbs. I'm a disabled veteran and I was mocked by staff for bringing a cushion in with me for my injured back. Bathrooms had not been cleaned or stocked, even though we were at the first show of the day. Mess all over the bathroom floors...yuck! Food and spilled drink o our assigned (pre-booked) seats. No usher/staff to help when someone sits in your prepaid for seats. Terrible experience for my family and we paid convenience fees for five people to book ahead from home. Bad deal....
Read moreThis location is brand new. When you go inside you can really see all the little details that they try to make this look like a high-end theater. It was very interesting to see and I did enjoy their new comfortable seating that allows for a unique theater-going experience. All the different food that you can buy was quite interesting the only downfall that they had is a very limited amount of staff to help you purchase your tickets. I believe that they're really trying to push the purchase your tickets ahead of time at home come in and do a self-service kiosk instead of going up to the counter and paying somebody. I still enjoy the human touch and being able to talk to a member of staff but the amount of time that we had to wait just to purchase tickets was a little bit much. They were awards program is definitely very unique I haven't seen so many different attributes that you can earn before and I'm curious how that will work out money-wise. Ticket why's there a little bit more expensive but of course you're paying for the extra amenities including your deluxe seat. Looking forward to trying it out again...
Read moreReally tried to like this theater especially since it's so close. It's brand new, clean, friendly staff, comfy seats... everything. However the issue is with everything else... the food does not match the price you pay which is advertised as premium movie theater food... the slushy machines are somehow always stale tasting and leaves a nasty taste in your mouth (it's been the same nasty stale coke frozen issue over the past year). I unfortunately have found that the food and prices are a much better value at the closes competitor theater which is an extra 20 minute drive to Brighton. The food, slushy's, pricing far exceeds Emagine for some reason. Wish it wasn't so because Emagine has great potential, but I wish the owners would go visit competitor theaters and get a sense of what others charge as well as the quality of the food compared to the overprice garbage they sell at their concession stands.
Edit: it's been 6+ months since this review and glad to see they have improved their food quality, fountain drinks and frozen drinks taste dramatically better now (the frozens are no longer...
