I have never left a negative review before this one. I am very disappointed with my experience at Elite Salon this weekend. I had an appointment for a toner with Tricia. My hair had some lighter golden pieces that I wanted to tone and blend with the rest of my hair that was medium brown. I explained that I did not want my natural hair to be any darker and still wanted some dimension from those lighter pieces. Tricia assured me that it would be a neutral brown and couldnât possibly get darker than my natural color since she would be using toner the same shade. She applied the toner and had one of the assistants finish the rest so she could start on another client. The toner sat on my hair for about 50 min (from start of application to finish), which was far too long. By this time, my appointment already was running 40 min over into the blowout appointment I had booked afterwards, so I ended up having to pass on a full blowout. Tricia dried my hair enough to see the color and right away I knew I hated it. She blamed the dark color on âbad lightingâ and it would look the way I wanted in natural light. I let her finish drying my hair and moved to other lighting and it was still incredibly dark, borderline black, with no dimension like I had requested earlier. I told Tricia that I really did not like it that dark. My natural hair is several shades lighter than it turned out. Her only response was âwell the good thing with toner is that it will fade in 2-3 monthsâ. She gave no option on how to fix it and it this point I was so upset and just wanted to leave. Tricia brought me over to the front desk and told the receptionist that my total was $160. I was shocked! I let them know that when I booked my appointment online the price listed for a toner was $50. Yes, my hair is longer than most clients and I would expect a slight increase to cover the extra products used, but $110 more is just not reasonable⌠especially for a service that she knew I was not happy with. I paid the $160 total and still left a tip. I am very upset with not only the finished product, but also the dishonest pricing. As soon as I got home, I sent an email expressing my disappointment and requested clarification on the extreme price difference. I never received a response or attempt to make things right. Included is a before/after of my natural hair vs. the over-toned almost-black that my...
Read moreAWFUL experience with Tina, I came for simple bob haircut to their best professional in hair cutting for $150 and left with TERRIBLY CHOPPED HAIR and was TREATED EXTREMELY RUDE by Tina after I said it's not the look that we discussed at the beginning. Also after washing my hair she brushed me with DIRTY HAIRBRUSH with SOMEONE'S long blond HAIR on it that was sliding on my face during brushing - disgusting. Easy way to transfer some Hair Bugs or Scalp Diseases from head to head btw. Don't know if other hair, manicure, pedicure, etc professionals there cleaning their equipment if their top professional doesn't.
Even though i quite meticulously explained what i wanted, brought a picture of wanted haircut (will attach below), asked for length to middle neck, slightly longer hair on the front, layered on the back everything like on the picture I brought. She seems to understand what we discussed BUT chopped my hair the opposite - shorter on the front, longer on the back, I asked to correct the back side so at least it was more of a straight look cut, but not longer on the back. She started correcting, it still didn't look what we discussed at the beginning and I decided to leave with how it is to keep at least hair thats left. She saw im leaving unsatisfied so she started a PERFORMANCE, INCREASED HER VOICE, started talking loudly falting me that what I wanted its totally different haircut from what we have - WELL YEAH! (I wanted the one i showed her on the picture and discussed in details, attached below). And she realized that after chopping off my below shoulders length hair? She was MEAN, said my haircut is good and i won't get better one anywhere else because she's professional in that. Kept faulting me loudly that i didn't communicate well (after my meticulous explanation and visual example, still not enough communication?) and adviced me to bring more pics for the next time for better understanding (great excuse!)
Here's 1 picture that i brought to show her what I wanted and...
Read moreI recently visited the Elite Salon for a hair cut and balayage treatment, hoping to refresh my look. Unfortunately, my experience with the artist, Hana, left much to be desired.
From the start, there was a lack of communication regarding the style and color I wanted. Hana did not ask for my preferences or discuss the options available. Instead, she proceeded with the treatment without confirming my desired outcome.
The balayage treatment turned out to be a disappointment. Hana started applying bleach without confirming whether I wanted a full balayage or partial highlights. The end result was far lighter than what I had envisioned, resembling poorly executed highlights rather than a balayage.
Even more concerning was Hanaâs approach to color correction. Upon my feedback, she attempted to fix the issue by applying a different toner. However, during the drying process, I noticed that she had missed a portion of my hair and only applied toner to the front section. Despite acknowledging the mistake, she seemed reluctant to rectify it properly.
To my dismay, when I requested further correction, Hana rushed through the process, leaving the toner on for an insufficient amount of time before washing it out. This hasty approach only exacerbated the problem, leaving my hair with uneven color and an unprofessional finish.
As a repeat customer who has previously enjoyed satisfactory experiences at Elite Salon, I was deeply disappointed by the subpar service and results I received this time. Spending over $300 for a treatment that left my hair looking worse than before was disheartening, to say the least.
In conclusion, I cannot recommend Elite Salon based on the quality of service and outcomes I experienced. The lack of attention to detail, poor communication, and rushed execution make it clear that there are significant areas for improvement...
