At first, I was a bit afraid of getting my Tractor license, many people say that you have to know a lot to pass the test, but I adventure myself into this journey and I register with Jersey Tractor Trailer Training School. Antwan was my first point of contact when I got into the office, he gave me prices and training time, even the test day after my downpayment. I watched all the videos and got my first certification done in the office (that was easy). When I got to the training on the field, I found this gentleman who walked us through out to all the parts and components of the trailer, it was too much information for the first day. He showed the components and different kinds of Licenses, Class A or B and every day they will teach you either cabin, front or back of the trailer, auto or standard (I didn't miss one class). It was a lot to learn, and it was a bit overwhelming, but I didn't give up. On my first day of field training Edward Montes was my trainer, his knowledge started to cover every step, key points and trailer components as we progressed into the classes, he definitely made it look simple, he kept telling me how to learn the steps using the videos, later on he would correct any missing information, filling the gaps and correcting my errors. Edward was always helping me to remember the steps and the components of the trailer. Never heard any bad comment or yelling at me because I forgot a component or any of the steps (I always forgot something, lol). On one of my field training days Edward was training someone else so I was appointed to Nick who gave me a few key words to remember certain components, he was a good instructor. On my last day of the training prior to the test I was so confident. I couldn't believe I had learned so much in just a few days, my training took 7 working days plus the day of the test. I passed my test and now I am a CDL driver thanks to Jersey Tractor by the hand of Edward Montes. No extra classes, no extra charges. I must say it left a lot to be desired. While the facility itself was nice and clean, I can only give them a 2-star rating due to the misleading information I received.

When it comes to teaching students with zero experience, Jersey Tractor Trailer Training is probably great at imparting the necessary skills to drive safely. They are one of the few physical driving schools in the area trusted by the state to put people on the registry. If you have no prior experience and require comprehensive training, they may be a suitable choice.

However, my experience with them was less than satisfactory. What bothered me the most was the conflicting information provided by their staff. I spoke with two different individuals who both attempted to persuade me into signing up for their full-priced 3-month curriculum, despite it being unnecessary.

It became evident that their primary concern was maximizing their profits rather than genuinely assisting students who already possessed a certain level of experience. This deception would have not only wasted my time but also resulted in unnecessary expenses.

Considering my experience, I cannot confidently recommend Jersey Tractor Trailer Training to individuals who are capable of being self-taught and already have some type of experience working with other CDL drivers and trucks. It is essential to approach them with caution and be aware of the potential for conflicting information from their staff.
