My visit here was quite unpleasant pretty much from the experience itself, to the protein being inedible. I ordered a lamb gyro platter and did not want any lettuce, so I did my usual request of can I have more rice instead of lettuce. They were going to charge me extra, but I pleaded my case that I just wanted more rice INSTEAD of the veggies. Also, when I order halal, I expect the package to be filled up to the top. There was a good amount of empty space here as I don’t think they really put enough in my platter. In the old days of halal guys, I would be paying around 8 bucks for this however this meal ran me 14 and change. When halal platter prices jump this high, I expect the takeout package to be full. Now to the most important part, the meat was subpar. I attached a picture of rubbery grizzle bits that I was literally finding in every other bite I took which was gross. I ended up not enjoying my food, but being scared to run into some rubber bits every bite. I could not even finish my platter because it just did not taste good which is a bummer because I was hungry. I tried working around the meat and eating the rice but the whole meal was a failure. The staff might as well wear uniforms that say “you pay extra” because every time I asked for a topping I was told that is extra. I even thought maybe some olives would be complimentary nope, before adding they said pay extra and I had to quickly say never mind. I had to order a near plain platter in order to not get up charged for extra ingredients. I was already paying almost 15 bucks; If I ordered all these ingredients I wanted, I would have been paying close to 20. What happened to the halal experience where they jam pack your platter and send you away happy. This place is surrounded by valid food options such as Chick-Fil-A, Chipotle, and one of my favorites Texas Roadhouse; which is why I would highly recommend walking along and trying one of those spots.

Not happy at all after today's visit at Teterboro landing shop. $ 11.08 for falafel platter, not worth it vs the food you get in platter. Asked about it to Manager, he said, that's what corporate asked to serve and their policy. And, he was arguing fiercely about it. Very disappointed. On food: falafel abd rice were cold. Threw out the dish after taking one bite. No point of arguing with them. I had 3 pieces of bread in my plate, while others had few more. When I asked about it, they said, it will be charged extra. NOT VISITING AGAIN! I asked Manager, that cart at 53rd and 6th serves more fresh food, with good quantity and price is less as well. Manager said, they are not the part of corporate (the whole halal food guys and their chain of restaurants started from that place, how can they ignore it). Two other customers ahead of me were involved in same argument. Their staff rarely understand English and messes up the order. Few customers came back as their orders were missing items they ordered. Don't know how they run this shop. Will get closed soon if this continues.

Visited the Teterboro location today. The food portion is very deceiving, I got 5 mixed platters for 9$ each. I've been to the Halal Guys plenty of times, and just get the mixed platters. But the portions are never the same. For example today, I paid 50$ for 5 platters and look at the pictures. More than half of the platter was filled with lettuce and tomatoes. If you want to open up a franchise, make sure the employees are trained on consistency. I never had issues when I went to the one in Manhattan. Edit: Just put all the Lettuce and Tomatoes in separate containers. Basically, I was able to fill 3 of there platter containers with the lettuce. So 60% of one platter is lettuce. Definitely never coming back to this place again. I'll stick to other gyro platter places. I only gave the review a 2 instead of a 1 because the place was clean and fast, but maybe it was because I was there when it opened at 11am. So I'm changing it to a 1 star.

I don't recommend visiting this location or ordering through food delivery apps via this restaurant. I ordered a couple entrées through Uber eats from this location and when the order got here we noticed a couple items missing. We contacted the restaurant and the manager apologized and let us know he will comp us a meal when we come into the restaurant next time and to just give our names at the register. When I returned to this restaurant I gave the employee my name and they had no idea what I was talking about. I showed them my receipt and explained the situation and they asked me to leave the store and laughed in my face that I was asking for a free meal. I kindly asked to speak to the manager and asked if there was a number I can call to explain the situation. They said they weren't allowed to give out their names and a worker started yelling and saying she has anxiety and can't handle situations like these. This all happened within 5 minutes. I was extremely shocked and I'm not one for confrontation so I just said never mind and left. I'm extremely shocked by the management at this location and feel that this situation was extremely unprofessional. I understand mistakes happen with food orders, but the way this was handled...

Some things are different. I was happy to write a review when they asked, because I have been coming here for some time. The staff is friendly, but truthfully they move so fast I can't really judge but let's give it to them. What I can give them easily say is the level of cleanliness is impeccable. Good seating areas. Now the changes in my opinion; the taste is different, maybe more healthy with less seasoning, not as yummy but I finished it. Next the portions, I use to share a combed if i wasn't hungry. But seems those days are gone. Infact I saw a 5 getting ready to share 2 platters, if there's was anything like mine they will be hungry. And finally the hot sauce is also not signature "burn your lips if you are not careful" must be some kind of response to a lawsuit, who knows. But I do know it's like eating paprika. Now I'm off to go find something else (light) to eat because I'm still little hungry. Oh yeah it could just be me but maybe there are some price hikes, which wouldn't be unreasonable if they weren't also practicing shrinkflation (hope I spelled that right) Anyway enjoy if you go, regardless I'd return because I enjoy...
