(Disclaimer, I am a reviewer, this is an honest review of what my observation was and what I observed.) After reading some of the reviews and most importantly the responses, I would be quite shocked if the vast majority, of reviewers went back here, and the RESPONSES from the Emerald staff, is laughably condescending, I certainly hope the majority of people reading the responses understand the idea that they donât care about youâre dismay,, theyâre living by the large casino model on the strip that if you donât come back, we have 50 more âsuckersâ to take your place, what I donât think they realize is, the strip thrives off of touristâs that come to town once or twice a year and if they âdropâ â $5000 or $10,000, they just assumed they had an unlucky experience, first and foremost, the odds are absolutely deplorable, I, myself went through over $400 on classic Buffalo with not one bonus, I went ahead going in there as a reviewer and tested out the other five machines adjacent to it in the far back corner after putting in $2400 that is $400 in each machine. The same results were yielded with one bonus on a max two dollar bet that yielded me four dollars back .I observed on more than one occasion, two separate senior citizens, crying that they had gone through the vast majority of their money according to them with no chance of redemption, to reiterate, I have never seen odds this tight in my life, and I have viewed at least 75 casinos spanning from California to Massachusetts. it is quite evident that emerald Island Casino is using âon demand odds changerâ a program specifically designed to change odds on demand very common across the casino industry for the last 15 years. It basically allows, casinos to change pay tables remotely at whim based on production, clientele, and foot traffic. For example, if it was early in the morning and foot traffic was not at expected capacity , most if not, all machines would be triggered at the lowest payout amount, and although you might trigger a bonus, the bonus will not amount too much. The problem with this software and the program used by the casinos that paid into this is that itâs abused more often than not, so although there are restrictions set for by the state legislature on how it is to be used itâs quite a parent just from observation that itâs being manipulated in the form of which it should not be. There is a hold percentage on the vast majority of machines that they are legally allowed to hold, for example for car Keno, maybe sitting at 18%, however if the gaming commissioner were to pull tabs on machines and noticed that the machine was holding 29% that would raise some really red flags. From talking to several people that are apparently locals there my understanding is that they would normally announce winners 4 to 5 times per hour. Was told by high management individual matters aren't their problem and the employees are greedy have personal motives and are not to be trusted. EMERALD ISLAND MANAGEMENT SAID THEIR EMPLOYEES CAN'T BE TRUSTED AT ALL. Do you want that chance?)
I was informed multiple times by multiple emerald island employees it was ok to give money to individual people if I put it in an envelope and gave it to the cage. I successfully did this once before and when I did it again the money never got where it was supposed to be. I asked the shift manager if he could find out what happened and he filled out an incident report. About a week later I hear things about how I got a guy fired and I was stupid and drunk and throwing money around that night when I had actually just walked over off my shift from rainbow club casino. I proceed to ask shift manager Rick if there is any information about the incident and he very much in a hurry became even colder and angrier looking then before and tells me he can't help me only high management can and he gets close enough to me I felt physically threatened. I leave at this point. I want no issues I didn't even want this issue. I come back in the morning at 10 to ask day management. She says shes not privy to that information. I come back today 3/5/18 and after being told by the same manager she doesn't know anything I ask if I can speak to a manager who does know something and finally speak to a big boss who in basic terms states the employees of the emerald have alterior greedy motives and can't be trusted and since the money was stolen by an individual they can not and will not help me or return my money or even give the money to the person it was supposed to go to.
Long story short if you go to the emerald island casino the employees will lie cheat and steal from you given any chance they get and management will not do anything to stop it since its individual matters not business matters.
Other than being robbed and feeling physically threatened I love this place and the restaurant. According to management the workers can't be trusted but I still will give the benefit of the doubt to my few favorite employees there.

A newly renovated casino is next door to both. It is always a fun experience when I visit. Speaking from personal experience, my opinion is the machines at Emerald are the most generous in the Henderson area. The rewards seem endless they offer to their customers who have the rewards card, which is easy to get simply by presenting your valid identification . With your reward points you receive more with each tier level you advance to. The points are good for purchases at the Emerald restaurant. Which I use quite often since the food there is awesome and you get a healthy serving for the entrees that are low priced. The waitstaff are very efficient, kind, and accommodating. My favorite servers are Christine & Daja who both work graveyard, and if your lucky enough to sit in their section, show them your gratitude! Each month there are weekly coupons sent in the mail. Each week a coupon will offer two of the chefs choices. Gift days are once a week for the starting tier and all you have to earn is 200âpoints to pick a free gift from the wide variety of nice gifts. Higher tiers get a weekly free gift that is selected from Emerald. For instance, in September, each week, one piece of a silver suitcase set that was a flexible hard shelled rolling large, medium, and small suitcases with a traveling duffel bag on rollers. Other rewards offered are from local businesses. Among the choices, you can select a professional car wash/detail, or go to the bakery and get delicious gourmet baked goods. Each week Emerald has complimentary snacks or meals they hand out to the playing customers. Throughout the week, Emerald staff participate in promotions that offer the players a chance to win extra money such as hot seat, spin the money wheel, or Rolex giveaway!
