This hotel has been recently remodeled the last couple of years. The hotel was nice, clean and comfortable. Just what we needed. We don't like staying on the Strip. Henderson has everything you need to make your stay convenient, fun and stress free. ||We have stayed here a number of times over the years and keep coming back, because the staff is so kind and helpful. The place is cheery and comfortable, and we love the area (very safe!).||Thank you to Jonathan who helped us get a last minute needed upgrade. The hotel was fully booked. However, Jonathan spotted a real time check out and we were able to get a bigger room. I have some health issues so, although we booked a smaller room on points (HH Members, make sure you join, it is a plus here for sure!), we were really hoping for an upgrade. Didn't looked look like one was available, but to our surprise, Jonathan at the front desk, worked his magic for us. :) We were celebrating my husband's retirement. So yay!! Awesome Sauce!||HH Food credit covered a few items on the breakfast menu, but we needed protein, so had to pitch in some extra cash. The restaurant staff was courteous and kind. Food was simple. You can get a cooked breakfast or a limited buffet. Go for the cooked, if you want something heartier. Go for the bacon and the three egg omelette.||The beds were comfortable and the rooms were very clean! The hotel was also very quiet, which we loved. There is a bar, a Happy Hour, Taco Tuesday, and a small dinner/appy menu (We didn't take advantage of so can't comment). A small pool and jacuzzi is now open! ||Sunset Station is a short walk, and many fast food choices within walking distance, A Sprouts, Drug store, lots of shopping, Target, Cost-Co are a short drive around town. Check out downtown Henderson (once old Henderson). Some cute casinos, and "era gone" by Vegas Dinner specials. Also, downtown Water Street, an upgrade has taken place, to the main street, with a few new fun additions like wine tasting, breweries, Taverns/bars and I believe live music on weekends. Check out Juan's Flaming Fajitas (Oh Yeh) and Azzurra Cucina Italiana (5 star, and AMAZING! Reservations only). Don't miss this place (Not kidding 5 stars!). ||Thanks, again, to the Hilton Garden Inn Staff. We...
Read moreI accidentally booked for a second stay at this hotel. I travel every other week to Las Vegas for business. I accidentally booked for a second stay here. The rating is based solely on front desk and one guy in particular. The initial visit he said I would be charged a daily fee in case of damages and that this would be taken off at check out. On my second trip he questioned why I was in town and what I did for a living. I’ve watched him during both check out times greet with a smile those also checking out besides me. When I arrived to the counter for check out yesterday I noticed no one was at the front desk. As I got closer I noticed there was a sign stating front desk would return shortly. Afterwards I noticed that he was tidying the front area behind the desk. After a couple of minutes he started to approach me and I told him no rush I’m ready when you are. He turned around and went back to straightening the coffee maker and tidying up. A young lady approached the counter and he immediately greets her with a smile and ask if she’s ready to checkout. I looked at him puzzled and he looked back and proceeded to help the young lady check out. So I stood right behind her to check out next at this point. He checked me out, no warm greeting just “was everything okay and asked how I wanted my receipt”. As I turned to walk away after check out, I observe him extending a warm and friendly greeting to a gentlemen this time. While gathering gps coordinates in my car parked right out front (parking lot) I noticed not even three minutes later this same front desk rep is now scanning the parking lot. Just a side note...I was deemed a person of interest at the airport afterwards. Feedback for Eric to please treat all guests the same especially when it comes to impacting customer experiences. I will never forget him or stay...
Read moreThe hotel itself is very clean and nice. The pool is a good size and the breakfast was good. You do have to pay extra for it but it was worth it in my opinion. We were originally on the 2nd floor and when we got in the room, the thermostat said 71. It felt good. We left for the rest of the day and returned about 11pm. Our thermostat was up to 76 and would not go down. We set it to 68 to get it cool in there and it was blowing out HOT air. We called the front desk and we were offered to move rooms but we have 2 little kids that were already asleep so we declined moving until the morning since it was past midnight. It was a nightmare of a sleep. We were all hot and tossing and turning. To make matters worse, the guests were incredibly loud. Up and down the halls all night making tons of noise. The next morning we were able to move to the 1st floor so we had to pack all of our stuff up and move. I’m glad we did because the AC worked in this room. The rooms are very clean and have everything you need. The top cover on the bed is itchy and uncomfortable and for some reason the rooms don’t have any kind of blackout curtains so the room is really bright all night. Luckily the AC worked allowing us to sleep better the second night but the room was too bright and again, a ton of noise all night long. Our room was near the front desk so I’m not sure why the front desk staff doesn’t say anything about the noise. All in all, there were good and bad things about this hotel. There’s lots of Food and stores in walking distance so that was nice. I’m not sure I’d stay again because there’s so many other options...
