Horrible. I'm handicap, quadriplegic, and I've lived here since I was 9. Got into my accident when I was 19 I'm 30 now and this whole 11 years I have never ever Head this bad of and experience at a movie theater. They used to do companion tickets so That people like myself who honestly absolutely cannot get to theater or, get my ticket, open doors, exedra, themsels they would given complimentary ticket to their Care giver. It was so nice of them because I can't always afford myself let alone anyone else, I'm on social security and I can't ask my care giver to bring me in the movie and just go sit and wait for me till it's done. When I went up they kind of treated me like I was trying to get over on them and get a free ticket. To make a super long story not super super super long the girl was kind of rude they did not come up with any type of resolution. They had people purchase all of the seating that's for handicap except for the actual wheelchair spots. WHICH they could get up and walk, they walked all the way through the casino there but they can't make an extra step to sit in a seat so that I can actually come in park my chair where my companion can be next to me and help me with my drinks. So I was unable to see that movie. Thankfully we did call a general manager is name's Byron and he was very understanding and helpful, if it wasn't for him I was never going to come back to sunset station again, I'm still contemplating it because of Their whole reservation system, it really bothers me at puts people out. And if you're not handicap I understand that you don't get this please just have some understanding that there are people Who cannot get out of their chairs can not step down to the next row, like me because I'm in a chair!!!SMH. I did appreciate their general manager he was a lot more professional than their managers that Actually work at sunset station but hopefully that will change. People need more empathy in the Box office and things need to be changed to where you don't have people whining about all the sudden they have a little leg injury even though they walked the whole way there and are complaining they can't sit in the row above. The handicap rows are not for an old leg injury or arthritis, they are so people like myself in chairs are able to still come see a movie. I should Have the same chance as everyone else to see the movie and we need to stop letting people whine to corporate when they aren't actually handicap it goes on all the time and people like myself get stepped over because of it I'm Tired of it. The girl sunset Regal Cinemas has taking tickets and dealing with the public "Samantha" I WILL campaign to make sure everybody knows not to waste their time if their handicap or sport us do not waste their money at sunsets Regal Cinema if the reservations continue the way they do. Thank you again to Byron general manager. And Samantha needs to be pulled from the ticket counter untill she knows how to handle certain situations, she should not Be suggesting to me that I just get out of my chair and go to another seat when I've already told her I'm paralyzed cannot walk and RIGHT before mention how they can't question anybody about it referring to the people that were in the sold out show yet they question me? Again that was Samantha she's a ticket taker and Brandon H the manager he was the only one semi helpful there and even then he didn't do anything to make the situation ANY BETTER. Byron The GM did suggest me Calling beforehand or buying the tickets beforehand and that's kind of inconvenient since I never know when I'm feeling good it's always spontaneous what I'm able to get out but he at least gave me a solution for the moment. Corporate needs to change The policy on the handicap rows and as far as reserved...
Read moreThis could be a 1 star review but I am a loyal RCC member for 3 Years + so I will show them some grace but I felt this was needed because of these last 2 incidents that have happened in less than a week of each other.
The first was Sunday morning February 16th, I purchased advanced tickets to see “Love Hurts” and when I arrived to my seat, the audio for the trailer was playing but there was no video, just a black screen. I gave it time but after 10 minutes of it, it appeared that there had to be some error. I had to go to the concessions counter to let an employee know , twice about the issue and it took about 30 minutes for the issue to be resolved. The issue was fixed and the movie played fine with no interruptions.
Fast forward to today Friday, February 21st. I purchased advanced tickets to see “Mufasa” which started at 11:40 AM, I arrived to my seats slightly late around 11:50 but to my surprise it was just a black screen and this time there was no audio in the background. I was still optimistic so I waited a few minutes to see if trailers would start playing, but at 11:56 I decided to go to the concessions counter to make them aware of the issue in theater 2. The message was communicated to a manager and at 12:05 an employee came into the theater and told me and the other patron that it would be about 15 minutes for the movie to start and we could either wait or be refunded our ticket. I opted to wait because being a RCC member I only paid a convenience fee of 50¢. Once it was 12:20 and nothing had changed, I told myself if the movie isn’t playing by 12:30 I would be leaving. I felt that this was more than reasonable since the movie start time was supposed to be 11:40 and 12:30 would be 25 minutes after an employee told us the movie would be starting in 15 minutes. To my disappointment, the clock struck 12:30 and we were still in the same predicament so I decided enough was enough and that I had wasted enough of my time.
All in all, I would prefer not to leave reviews like this but there are 3 things that bother me about this. 1, if I decide to continue watching movies at this theater it’s not like the theater will reach out to me and apologize for the inconvenience in my last 2 visits 2 it is very frustrating to have my time wasted like this, I enjoy going to the theaters on my days off and my off days are planned around it so it throws everything off when situations like this happen 3 I have advance ticket to see “Flight Risk” Monday morning and I’m concerned that I might end up in this situation again. Even though I know the odds are probably in my favor for this not to happen again, having my time wasted like this on 2 consecutive visits is very discouraging for me to continue going to...
Read moreI've begin a loyal patron of Regal Cinemas 13 and 14 for almost 8 years now. I don't appreciate having to have my backpack checked everytime I go. I'm told that this is for security reasons. With the recent terror attacks and theatre shootings that have been happening lately, I understand where they're coming from. Then again, why is it that they don't check womens' purses or handbags? I ask why am I having my bag searched, when entering behind several women, carrying bags big enough to carry a small handgun or even an uzi in, and they aren't searched. I'm told that it's because women carry purses. I'll admit that's true. However, I'm a bus rider and a walker. People like me often carry a backpack. If I had a car to throw all of the stuff that I need to carry around in, I wouldn't need a backpack. I'm also told that I can leave it with security. I'm telling you right now, that's out! I wouldn't mind leaving it with security, except for the fact that things left laying around, out of the owner's sight, tend to turn up missing. I'm quite sure that Regal Cinemas is like most other organizations, and will claim no responsibility for any lost, stolen, or damaged property left with their security or other employees. So again, like I mentioned before, that's out! I don't record the movies that I go see. Nor am I a gun owner / carrier or some nutty-ass terrorist! I've spent thousands of dollars in these theatres, and I demand to be treated like a customer, and with respect! I think that Regal Cinemas should learn how to treat their loyal customers a lot better. Also, they should try to remember that not every Black guy, wearing a bandana, and carrying a backpack, is up-to-no-good and looking to blow up or shoot up the place! -_- I'm only rating 3 stars because of all of the aforementioned, the reserved seating bullshit, and their astronomical food prices. Otherwise, it would've been a 5 stars. I do plan on continuing my patronage, for the moment at...
