Planet Fitness — Attraction in Henderson

I joined after Club Sport went under. I understood that this is a "bare bones" type of club. What can you expect for $10 a month? I'll tell you what I expect. A safe environment. The first time I was there I noticed all the incline weight benches (SIX) were unsafe. They wobble and shake to the touch. Anyone who has lifted weights can tell you that the last thing you need when you lift weights is an unsteady base. I reported this to the manager who walked over and shook a few of the benches and told me he would "take care of it". A month later-no change. I spoke to the manager again. He acted as if it was the first time he had heard the complaint. He shook the benches (again) and immediately got on his cell phone. I guess he was making an "emergency call" to the president of Planet Fitness. Needless to say nothing has changed. This place makes a point of having a spray bottle of disinfectant every ten feet to encourage you to clean these very benches. I'm sure when one of these benches collapses or someone falls off of them while lifting and it shifts under them, the injured party will feel much better knowing that the bench lying in pieces next to them is completely germ free. They have signs posted all over the gym saying," NO JUDGEMENT". How about...

Today I was almost arrested after Employee Clay called the police on me for eating, drinking coffee and charging my phone while seated in the eating area. This took place on 4-19-24 at 9:30am. Clay said that I was loitering by eating and charging my phone despite I was only in this eating area for 20 minutes and no signs were posted in the area advising members that they only had 10 or so minutes in this area to finish eating or charging there device. Clay threatened me with trespass charges, confinement and fines while he called the police and lied on me telling the police I was loud and threatening. I recorded the entire incident on my phone. I reasonably believe I was discriminated against because I was black. No other reasonable explanations existed. I was trespassed from the property for basically utilizing the eating area. I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau in hopes the owner can investigate this unprovoked matter. Until this matter is corrected I am giving awareness to black members and others who are contemplating on joining this club be extremely cautious and aware that you might be treated differently than white members. Also there exist the possibility that you could be arrested for just utilizing areas of the gym....

This gym is one of my favorite Planet Fitness locations. They keep it very clean gym and the staff take really good pride in keeping it nice and fresh making me want to come here every single day! There's rarely any gym equipment that's "out of order" and when they do it's usually fixed within a timely manner. It's somewhat of a small gym but definitely does the job when you want to get a good workout in.

Like I mentioned before, this is one of the cleanest gyms I got to, the staffers do a really good job and customers recognize how hard they work while showing good customer service. I always see Planet Fitness staffers Carlos, Able, and Rebbeca working extra hard to keep the gym clean. The disinfectant bottles, paper towels are always filled and the trash cans are always emptied. Also, I've been in many gyms, this is the first gym I would rate 5 stars alone when it comes to keeping the restroom (Mens) in tip top shape. This includes, the sinks, soap dispensers (filled), toilets, urinals, floors and showers are always clean. I've been to nice restaurants that didn't have as clean restrooms as this gym does!
