Rudest lady in recent memory yelling from behind checkout counter. There with the wife and kids and after nobody in the store helped anybody, finally found the stuff we needed. Upon going to checkout, a nasty lady yelled at somebody to "back up to the toy rack". Nobody knew who she was talking to or why. She kept repeatedly screaming at, presumably us, to back up to the toy rack. Everybody in line was looking at each other not really understanding what the issue was. We were just waiting to buy stuff in their store. The kids were just standing in line with us not touching anything and we were 10 feet away from the closest checkout clerk.
Afterward my wife and youngest daughter were very upset about being yelled at by this lady. When a ten year old says she never wants to go into that store again, I think you have a reason to be concerned. My kid says she will just get her art stuff at Amazon since we won't be yelled at. It should be noted the gentleman who checked us out Mike was just fine. It was the older lady barking that will have us never going back.
Sadly this was my first and very last time ever stepping foot in this store or any other Michaels. I would rather pay shipping than give this place another cent...
Read moreIt used to be the only craft store in town, now it's the smallest craft store in town. Michael's is a decent place to go to for crafting supplies and their prices are usually lower than some of the other stores: for example, just last week I saw these huge rubber bouncy balls at Michael's for $5 each and then saw the exact same rubber balls at a different store for $10 each. The down-side is this store is SO SMALL. Other Michael's locations are twice or even three times the size of this one. I really think the franchise should consider moving this store to one of the vacant and larger locations nearby because it makes their ability to provide a decent selection really limited. Also, they have a huge framing and art supply section in the back that takes up half the store but then all other types of crafts are minimal and squished together. I like this store for it's pricing but more often than not I have to go elsewhere to find what I'm...
Read moreFound this adorable yarn and was excited to see a sign that said "Bernat Baby Blanket" was on sale for $7.49 instead of the usual $9.99 for this size ball. When I got to the register it came up as $9.99. She asked a manager to check and she said it only applies to specific colors. The sign said nothing about specific colors, I even went back and looked at the sign with the manager and it only says the name of the yarn. She didn't apologize for it not being labeled properly or say she would fix it so that it wouldn't be a problem for other shoppers. She just shrugged it off and walked away. When I got back to the cashier she just says "so do you want it or not?" Very rude and unconcerned about their signs not showing what their...
