This is a wonderful church filled with friendly people and led by pastors who genuinely love God and people with their whole hearts regardless of age, color, economic status or anything else, and model it in the way they live their everyday lives. They do outreach into the community to help those in need, serve our kids with their Crosswalk Center and programs regardless of whether they attend 1st Baptist or not, send mission teams to areas struck by tragedy, and feed your soul each week with great sermons and bible study offered in many different Sunday and Wednsday class's. There's so much more. If you are searching for a special place for you as a single person or for your family try 1st Baptist. We found it several years ago and never left. In the south, if you aren’t a member of the biggest lower cased B “baptist church”, you are forsaken. David wanted to build a temple for God but God said no through the Prophet Samuel, but God said yes about building a dynasty through David’s line.
