The Pier itself is an amazing place to watch the sunset or go for a walk. The bars and restaurants provide a variety of options for visitors to check out. The Strand provides a great bike or walking path that runs along the Pacific Ocean from Santa Monica to Rancho Palos Verdes. Hermosa’s Pier is one of the safest and least crowded piers while still being active, especially on the weekends. If you’re looking for a fun happy hour, Saturday night, or Sunday Funday Hermosa provides a plethora of bar options and has been featured in numerous films (Lala Land) and TV shows (The OC). Hermosa Beach is one of my favorite spots for golden hour family sessions! The light here is perfect around 5-6 PM, especially near the pier.
