Me an my family are here on vacation and decided to try duck donuts for breakfast instead of the free breakfast that comes with my stay at the hotel. When we walked into the establishment and stood on the line to order we noticed your employee greet several people cheerfully with a good morning and all. We were expecting the same kind of cheerful greeting as was being given to others, instead we got a serious look and no smile good morning or anything. Even when we were asked what we wanted it was with kind of a attitude. But I still ordered eventhough we were ready to find somewhere else to spend our hard earned money. Anywho we purchased our products and sat down to try to enjoy our products. But as we were sitting down to eat we witnessed your employee be cheerful to several children that were with other families. My 6yr old daughter was at no time treated as cheerful as the other children. So we came to the conclusion that since we were minority (Hispanic) and all the patrons were American (white) that's why we were treated differently..i work in the corporate community and we treat everyone equally. But no worries because we will not be spending our hard earned money at any of duck donuts establishments.. 🤢😡...was asked to expand on my visit by Todd and I did but was never given any type of reply... What a good and professional...
Read moreMy son spent two years in different areas in Pennsylvania, and got to meet and know some really great people. Among them is the Chase family in Hershey. We came back to Pennsylvania with him to visit his favorite people and places, and that's when I first met Abby Chase. We only visited for a short while, but as we talked about all the things we were able to do, and the things we still wanted to do in Pennsylvania, Abby quickly insisted that we HAD to try Duck Donuts, where she works.
"It's a cake donut, but it's so light, and we make it fresh for you right away, and the flavors are delicious! It's hard to describe... You just have to try it!"
So we added Duck Donuts to our agenda.
And I must say, Abby is a great ambassador, and I understand why she found it hard to describe them, beyond "you just gotta try it!"
I wasn't thrilled when I heard the "cake donut" idea... My experience is that cake donuts are dense and dry. But Duck Donuts are in a class by themselves! They were so fluffy and warm, with just the right amount of topping (so many flavors to choose from! We got a dozen, and they were all delicious.)
I am even interested in opening a franchise in my hometown in Utah! I just wish I could hire Abby to run sales for me! Thanks for the...
Read moreI want to begin on a positive note by saying that the place was clean, well put together and the employees were friendly. The concept of Duck Donuts is brilliant! As for the actual product, the Doughnuts themselves, we did not enjoy at all. My daughter and I were looking forward to warm cake doughnuts. I guess by description alone, we did receive just that. Except the cake had no structure. They were squishy, fell apart and left a very odd after taste in your mouth. I wanted to give them the benefit of a doubt. So I let two of the three donuts rest for an hour and a half. I was hoping that this may give the cake time to set up, have a little backbone and become a brave little donut. Sadly this did not happen. The structure stayed the same. They were not greasy. This is not what was making them squishy. It was the actual donut batter itself. It is a very weak batter. We tried you Duck Donuts but unfortunately we will not be back.* Sad...
