I have been to the Kernersville location many times, as it used to be on my way home from work. I have gotten many items from the Kernersville location and the High Point location. I am glad my work’s office location changed, as I can now get lunch from this place. My favorite items are the gyro, with the chicken, or the Gyro meat. Both are delicious and offer a nice change from the typical lunch fare of cheeseburgers and chicken sandwiches. The staff is always friendly and attentive. I also think this is a convenient place to grab lunch during a busy workday. The taziki sauce is always delicious, refreshing, and portioned well on their dishes; I often get some extra taziki and pita to take home as a snack at home or in the office. The house salad dressing is also phenomenal. It pairs so well with the feta and other toppings on their standard salad, I often find myself getting a side salad instead of fries, because the salad is that good! As you can see, the gyro is HUGE! Enough for lunch, and today it was even too much to eat in one meal! The chicken was overflowing out of this pita, which made it a little tricky to eat, but I do appreciate the portion size. I called in my order before I got there (to avoid waiting) and it was ready and on the counter for me. I will most definitely be back; the food is excellent, and the prices are comparable to those of other places in this area.

I had the gyro platter. The Greek salad had all the usual suspects. The lettuce and green peppers were chopped similar to a chop salad with the rest of the veges and pickled items chopped thick. Fir texture reasons I would have preferred if the tomatoes, onion and cucumber were also chopped salad size. The dressing is on the tables which was something I haven't seen before and really liked. The gyro meat was excellent. You can taste the quality. Then there is the tzatziki sauce is perfect! My favorite gyro shop closed and I hadn't had tzatziki sauce this good since then. The fries were hot and crisp. I did have to get extra tzatziki sauce because it was so good. I was there at an odd time between lunch and dinner so it was slow in the dining room but I watched a bunch of large to go orders go out. The young man and woman working the front were extremely personable. One of them mentioned they had worked there five years which points to a really good culture. I highly recommend this independent restaurant.

I hate to leave a bad review but it felt warranted. Last week, we popped in to order some food to go. We ordered a sandwich, a kids meal and I ordered the “entree” size Greek salad. We were in a hurry so I didn’t examine the salad before leaving. Upon opening the bag I was shocked to see that the salad which cost almost $9 was comprised of wilty shredded iceberg lettuce and a couple of sliced veggies. It was in a small container and not even completely full. At any other restaurant it would be considered a poor quality side salad at best. I called the restaurant to see if there had been some mistake but was immediately put on hold and no picked up for more than 8 minutes so I hung up. We won’t be eating here again.

We visited in the middle of the afternoon, which is an off-peak time for many restaurants. The Mad Greek Grill takes this to the next level, with the dining room transforming into an employee lounge, of sorts. Walking inside, the first four booths on the right were occupied by employees lying down, feet dangling in the aisle, as they napped presumably between shifts. The employees in the booths to the left must have been coming on, as they were at least awake and chatting away to each other or on their phones.

Trying not to disturb them, we made our way to the front counter, seemingly unmanned, but with a bright and legible menu. The food on offer was unremarkable, generic "Greek" fare. No lamb, of course, but plenty of iceberg lettuce and garlicky hummus. An employee eventually sauntered out, and we placed our orders for pork skewers and chicken gyros. We settled in a booth on the customer's side of the dining room.

Service was quick and the food edible, if on the bland side. Not much thought was given to presentation, just practical foil and beige, plastic plates. We ate quickly, not wishing to intrude too long on the exhausted employees' afternoon reverie. Actually, we ended up taking most of it with us, using the take-away boxes placed thoughtfully in the dining room so we could package the food up ourselves without...

I am absolutely disappointed in my service today! I ordered 2 salads one which was Chef..chef salad comes with both turkey and ham..well this time it only came with turkey. I called to advise.Malina, manager says that was impossible..that never happens and she checked with the cooks and they said they put both on my salad..the just look so much alike. Nevermind I have order before and I know the taste of ham vs turkey. Well she goes on to say thsy never happens a all she can do for me is to come back and get a portion of turkey? She reiterated that never happens. I said, I am already home if you could just fix next time that would be great. I would even take a discount offy next meal. Well she says, I can't just give you a whole salad for free, I asked if she was the manager she says yes and I asked for her id/operator number she said im not giving that to you..she literally hung up on me. If this lady is manager, she doesn't need to be. She was very rude and pretty much called me a liar. I will never recommend MadGreek because of her..not the food, the...
