My kids are 10, 13, 15. This was their fave spot to swim, snorkel, and play in the sand. We went several days during our week in Honolulu. I would recommend water shoes as there was some sharp debris in the water and on the beach. Also watch for catamarans loading and unloading passengers here intermittently. Our kids loved watching the boats come in up close. Gorgeous...
