Q: What hotel do you recommend in in Hawaii? A: I love the Outrigger Waikiki Beach Hotel in Honolulu on the island of Oahu. This view is from a Club Diamond Head Oceanfront suite. #waikiki #waikikibeach #hawaiitiktok #traveltips #honoluluhawaii #hotelstay #oceanview #christinacation #diamondhead #oceanfrontview #outriggerwaikiki #outriggerwaikikibeachresort #hotelsinhawaii #hawaiihotel #oahuhawaii #wheretostayinhawaii @christinacation @outriggerwaikiki

Well we had a few glasses of wine and looked at our summer schedule and thought why not extend our Aulani vacation. Well in typical Aulani style if you do not book within two years prior you are out of luck. So we started to search Turtle Bay was our first stop we almost pulled the trigger, then out of the blue we found the Outrigger in a place we knew well above Dukes. This is location was not our our desired location but the hotel just read very well. So we went for it. BOY ARE WE HAPPY!!!! We spent 4 nights at the resort in an ocean view 16th floor club, double bed room. Please be advised about the room language. Ocean view and Ocean front are two different room types. Never the less the room had a great view and it was a very nice size. Checking in is great if the lobby is not crazy busy. Try to come around off hours for a better lobby experience, the drop off area at the front of the hotel is congested and very busy. So please seek out an Outrigger bell service for assistance. Please do not try to drag your bags everywhere. The bell services are very helpful and skilled at their craft and knowledgable about the hotel, and safe. I would recommend the Club to anyone who would like an even better experience. Such a great place to unwind and listen to the amazing artists Dukes offers each day. You will be around some of the best shopping and local foods the island has to offer. Such a great location. Yes you can even find Canes, the golden arches, and what my daughter calls up-scale Applebees (Cheesecake Factory), around the hotel. The Outrigger has you covered each step and really tries to give you that personal experience. They go out of their way to make sure you and your party are having a great experience in their resort. There is a sense of pride from each member of the Outrigger staff community. We use our hotels for sure. The pool can be crowded and with patiences you will find your spot, the pool service is always looking for guests who have not returned and pull their towels. The ocean is directly off of the pool and the pool offers Dukes menu as a benefit. The gym is great you can get in a full workout or a quick lift before you hit the surf. We really enjoyed this hotel and we will be back. Yes it is busy around the hotel and we wish there was a bit more privacy for hotel guests, however you know you are in a city and you chose to stay in a hotel in the middle of that city. Hesitant we were at first (Jedi talk;)) but not any more. We will be back in an Oceanfront front room not an ocean view room next time with the club and ready to have a great time. All the best in your searches for a hotel, but give this great resort a chance I promise you will return super happy with your choice of the Outrigger. Aloha Mahalo

My wife and I celebrated our 26th anniversary at Outrigger Waikiki. We booked our entire travel through the Costco Travel Program. Everything went very smooth. The airfare, shuttle to Outrigger and the resort itself were excellent. We stayed in room 1401 which is considered an upgraded room with partial ocean view with king bed. This room was as described with a partial view of the ocean and more city view. The room is plenty large enough for two people with a sitting area, refrigerator, and safe. The sink/closet area are separate from the toilet/shower area. The two minor complaints are the lack of a microwave and limited tv channels (but you shouldn't be in room much). One simple perk is the access to the D elevators which only go to floors 14-17. The B elevators to the remainder of the hotel are definitely busier. The main perks to this is access to Voyager 47 which is the breakfast (6:30am-9:30 am) and happy hour (4:30 pm-6:30 pm) food option. Simply walk in and verify your room number and then start getting your food buffet style. See picture of food options. I found this option to be worth the extra money as the convenience and food options were more than satisfactory. PLEASE NOTE if don't think you will use this option or the attached menu is NOT for you then don't use this option. The pool area is busy but some patience is required. Also, the beach area is crowded and the umbrella/chair rentals are expensive and not associated with the hotel. Let's be honest if you want a less crowded, less expensive beach then go somewhere else. The bellman, check in/out people, housekeeping, and Voyager 47 workers were all very professional and friendly. Also, we did eat one dinner at the Hula Grill and everything was very good. We simply did not eat at Duke's as it is extremely busy and the dinner menu is very similar to Hula Grill. Overall, The simple fact is YES we would stay here again!

We had an 8 night stay, in a partial ocean view, one king bed, and a pull out sofa. The room was plenty big for our party of 3- 1 adult, 2 teens. The front desk staff was always nice and super friendly. They were really helpful and easily accommodated a package delivery. The room had an amazing view of the ocean. From the 5th floor, we could see turtles swimming in the ocean. The room had a mini-fridge, regular sized shampoo, conditioner and shower gel, lots of drawers for clothes, and closet space. Housekeeping was available daily and always did a good job. The room was reasonably quiet. We could hear music from down below some nights, but it did not keep us up. We were right by the elevators but rarely heard people waiting in the hallway outside our door. The elevators could take a while at certain times of day, but not nearly as long as some other hotels we observed. The pool is tiny, and people had thrown towels on the chairs, "reserving" them hours before they ever intended on being there. All chairs were "taken" by 8:30 am. It would be nice if the hotel discouraged this for the benefit of the people actually at the pool who can't get chairs. We used the washers and dryers once during our stay. It took about 75 mins start to finish. I did not have to wait to use them. There are 2 sit-down restaurants on the property. We did breakfast and lunch at both and enjoyed the food. The location can't be beat. Right on the beach and in the middle of everything. All the shops in the hotel are great. The ABC store has a lot of necessities. One teen got a haircut at the beauty salon and loves the cut. We rented a car for the day a couple of times to get out of Waikiki, which is the way to go. You do not need a car while in Waikiki, and getting an Uber/Lyft is really easy. We had a fabulous time at the Outrigger and would definitely stay again.
