Security guard at the front door usually greets everyone; I said hi and walked with my friend to find a top or a dress. I eventually picked 4 shirts to match pants that I have at home to try, and we looked for socks afterwards upstairs. I got bored and went back downstairs to try what I picked. Fitting room worker pats through the 4 shirts INDIVIDUALLY that couldn't possibly hold anything and tells me I need to leave my purse at the front outside of the fitting room while I try my clothes. Insecurely. In front of the racks, where anyone could snatch my bag.* Went into the fitting room very worried. Did not want to even try the clothes because of this. I left in less than 3 mins, and was absolutely uncomfortable with leaving my bag at the front. Upon leaving, it was a different lady working the fitting room.** Friend meets back with me downstairs with a handful of socks, mentions while in line that security walked by a couple of times and made their presence known to him.* Cashier ringing us up was not enthusiastic at all and did not care.
*The company would not be liable for belongings not on my person if it was stolen or missing. **Even if it is their policy, they did not do that to anyone else but me. It shows the company does not trust their customers. Therefore, I cannot trust them either. Worker could have stolen something from me and left. *Most times when security does this, it is only when they suspect that you are a potential shoplifter committing a crime. Most other tourists and customers noticeably did not receive this kind of service. As someone who also works in retail, this loss prevention system may be effective with curbing theft and shoplifting, but absolutely soiled the entire experience of shopping at this location. ABSOLUTELY DO NOT VISIT this location unless you are willing to be treated like a suspect of...
Read moreIf I could give this store a 0, I would. The dressing room attendant was extremely aggressive and rude about the amount of clothes matching the two sets of numbers, mind you there was a shift change and the two women didn't communicate about where they placed my clothes on the racks. The attendant demanded that I inform her where the clothes were that were sitting on the racks. (They were right there, just not in the right place.) She would NOT let me try on the rest of my clothes without locating the rest. As if locating the clothes that the last attendant placed on the racks is my responsibility?! The shorts I did want she asked me to keep on the rack. They had a tag on them when I tried them on, yet when I went to purchase them, it's as if the tag had been ripped off. (There is a tiny hole in my shorts that I didn't notice at purchase, the cashier made it known to me.) After the purchase, I went back to the changing room and asked to look for the tag in the dressing room and she refused. The tag originally read 7.99, but the clerk at the register said she had to charge me 11.99. If I hadn't spent so much time shopping for the clothes I needed I would've walked out and left. As others have said, they take loss prevention very seriously, and again aggressively!...
Read moreI was really impressed by this Ross store and was really excited to find some comfy maternity clothes. Then I went to the second floor and had some pretty rude interactions with the lady running the men’s fitting room. My husband tried on a pair of shorts and when he told her he did not want them because they didn’t fit right she acted extremely irritated about it. Has that never happened before in a dressing room???? Then, being 7 months pregnant, I had to find a restroom QUICKLY. When I did it ended up being near this same lady and the men’s fitting room. The signage was confusing at first between the fitting room and restroom so I accidentally started going into the men’s fitting room because the actual restroom door had a code pad on it so I didn’t think I could enter into it. This same lady proceeded to yell at me and acted extremely irritated by my mistake.
Everyone else in the store was very friendly, so maybe she just needs a reminder on how to treat...
