The check-in process was swift, but the customer service could use improvement. The agent assisting me appeared to lack the patience and hospitality expected when welcoming members. There was a noticeable sense of bias in her interactions, which was disappointing.
The food options were passable, featuring items like tofu poke, clam chowder, sweet bread, and a few Hawaiian fusion dishes. While not exceptional, they offered a taste of local flavors.
One thing to note is that the lounge does reach capacity, and members may be turned away. Itās advisable to call ahead and check availability, especially if youāre planning to spend time here before a flight.
Overall, the lounge is decent but not extraordinary. It feels more like an extension of a general waiting area within Honolulu Airport. You might be better off saving your club pass for a more spacious lounge experience. With a variety of food options available in the airport, you can likely find a more satisfying meal nearby.
*I would suggest to work with the shorter agent to the left of the podium who was more accommodating and friendly. As opposed to the taller agent to the right of the podium.

Ā Ā Ā Read moreAn all around mediocre experience. After having scanned our international Polaris class boarding passes (USA to Europe) at the welcome desk, the agents asked if we were "members of the United Club". We said that we were not, and proceeded to explain that we had access to the lounge since we held international business class tickets. They said that United Club was for "members only" and why did we think we could use the lounge since we had not paid a 690 dollar annual fee, "Our members pay 690 dollars per year, what makes you think you can use the lounge?" I was shocked and disappointed hearing these words, especially after having spent over 9K on tickets for this trip. A more tactful way of handing the situation might have been to actually look at the tickets if there had been any doubt. On our next trip to HNL, we will use the Plumeria Lounge, which has much more friendly staff, cleaner seating area and better food. Despite great service from all other United staff we encountered, we thought the attitudes of these two agents were particularly unbecoming of...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI truly dislike leaving one star reviews, and try to avoid it whenever possibleā¦. but unfortunately, this particular United Lounge requires attention.
This is the most unappealing club lounge that we have ever visited, and we would absolutely not return unless several changes took place.
When we arrived, we noted that far too many tables were left un-bussed. This made finding a place to sit difficult, and we were traveling with an elderly, disabled person.
The food choices were *subpar. The buffet and surrounding area unclean. The fruit and salad selections looked wilted and dried out - but what made this far less appetizing was the gnats, (or some species of fly), that were flitting around and landing on the food. Aside from the Dole Whip, we opted not to partake.
The womenās bathroom was gross. Two sinks contained toothpaste residue and hair. The trashcan was overflowing with paper towels. The floor was sticky.
Aside from the Dole Whip, this particular United Club did *not offer a...
