Can someone please unlock and remove the padlocks? I would love to play in here with friends&family pets&kids but it’s locked with padlocks on all the entrance gates all the time. It looks scary empty and unable to access with the big tall fences. I don’t understand why a historical&public park is gated and locked up like this. If you could get in and treat it like a gated park/dog park that would be ideal. The fences aren’t so bad just being locked up all the time is a bummer. There is nothing of value that could be taken from the park so what’s up with all the padlocks? I used to come here a lot with my dog before he died and it was nice.- Honestly, the homeless weren’t there often and no one bothered me. Please unlock. It’s depressing to see a neighborhood park that no one can use or enter. I give this park 5 stars because it is beautiful but realistically it functions as a 1 star park.

We parked right up front and walked around checking out the plaques about the history of the church and the fourth ward. It was a nice experience and we had our dogs on leashes.

Used to be a great neighborhood landmark park. Now, it's been fenced and gated for over a year. There are permanent chains and locks allowing no entry for all. Very sad.

My favorite place to come and reflect. My parents grew up in this area and attended this church. Sad to hear they had to close it temporarily due to inconsiderate pet owners who were misusing this place as a dog park. It's a National historic landmark, not a dog park. Unfortunately, Its only open on Tuedays and Thursdays from 10am to 2pm. Google needs to change these hours to reflect what they are currently.

Either way, still a beautiful landmark. The energy...

During my visit It was closed for landscaping renovations so the gates were closed and locked, but my first visit to this beautiful structure was wonderful. Unique concept and a beautiful way to preserve this historical structure. Great place for taking pictures or to get away for a quiet moment. Street parking can be tight because the park sits right in the middle of a residential area. Can't wait to come back when...
