🥲 I love going for pedicures but everytime I get my fingernails done I’m sorely disappointed. Either I get a manicure where I have to pay for cuticle care (my only reason for getting a manicure) or I get my nails done in a basic short shape and they end up uneven and misshapen. There is no cuticle care included in getting your nails done so if your nail beds look terrible, they’re just gonna slap some paint over them. The last appointment, I asked the lady to put a false tip on because my middle nail is shorter than the rest.. and she had no idea what I was talking about..and idk if the lady was inattentive or just older and didn’t care but she filed below my nails (and this was with me paying for cuticle care, not free) 🙃 so now a lil over a week later I still have skin peeling from where my fingers (not nails) were roughly mistreated. I feel like my hands looked better before getting my nails done here. 3 stars just because I love getting my feet done by Tiffany and was offered refreshments.

Truly disappointed with my experience here. I came in for a standard manicure with gel polish. The technician started by asking me if preferred to keep the length or to cut them down which was great but I told her that I just wanted to shape them and specifically asked for an almond shape. During the entire filing and prepping process, she was sooooo indulged in the conversations happening around her that she wasn't even paying any particular attention to how much she was filing down my nails. It took her 3 tries to finally get it right but by the third time, I had lost so much length that my nails look ridiculous with an almond shape and it's not even symmetrical. You can see in the photos that she kept squaring off the tip. So annoyed since it took me some time to grow out my natural nails.

I always ask a nail tech if they are able to recreate a picture I show them to save each other time and effort; they said they could. They comfortably let me choose the colors I wanted, different for 5 fingers, but pushed me toward other colors I didn’t want on my nails. They refused to give me powder for the color tips and insisted on shellac (since it costed more) when other places would’ve been okay with color powder. After being adamant, we started my nail design and it was fine but the shape of how they were doing the shellac was sloppy. I told them once it happened, didn’t wait until they finished all 10 nails, so they knew to correct it but they still came out crooked. Would give 3 stars but they cooperated nicely. These were $75 without tip

I was very excited to visit initially. After a 45 minute drive, I walked in to no welcome but instead several employees gathered around. I gave my name and was led back for a mani/pedi. The girl who came was friendly when spoken to but did not go out of her way to make me feel welcome or pampered. Water was offered, and nothing more. Throughout the entire mani/pedi the staff spoke loudly and only engaged in one another. A color I chose apparently was matte (something I didn't see on the bottle..) when toes were done I mentioned that it didn't brighten up as I would like. Annoyed, the girl threw a clear coat on and same outcome. Instead of offering a redo (in which I woudlve declined.. But an offer would be nice) she rushed me over to the dry. My mani/pedi was rushed through and I was sat down and completely forgotten about. Eventually the receptionist brought the massage paperwork over to me and I asked if my nails were dry enough, I was told no. So.. I continued to dry until another employee looked up from her cell phone to bark orders that I need to do the form then and just be careful. Finally, after what seemed like forever I was brought back to enjoy a wonderful massage by Rosa. She was incredible and truly understands customer service.

My biggest complaint was the lack luster of the "spa day". I'm a new mom who hasn't had a chance to pamper herself and really looked forward to this. I took The day off, drove 45 minutes to this "great spa" all to be treated like I was in the way. I felt the staff rushed through so they could get back to discussing their appetizers for their Christmas party and focus on the latest news on their cellphone. There was one other customer so service should not have been an issue. Once finished, I simply walked out without one staff even bothering to say thanks. When I called today to speak with the manager I was met with nothing more than excuses and attitude. She was present during my visit, so no reason why cellphones should've been out, drinks not offered, attitudes given when asked about dry time or being forgotten at the table. She was condescending when explaining my poor service and very unapologetic. Well T, here's the review I promised. Your "k. I'll talk to them" doesn't go far. You gained me as a customer based off online reviews, you can also lose customers based off online reviews. You might try humbling yourself in the future and remember, customers pay your bills. Your business is based off good service, I would recommend investing in it.. Starting with...

I have only had Pedicure with them. Never visited for any other service so my ratings are purely based on my three visits for "Signature Pedicure". First time was a walk-in on weekend during non peak hours so they accepted me. Tiffany was really good in doing the job. Second time me and my husband together had an appointment...That was a disastrous visit for me... Tiffany was assigned to my husband and she immediately got to work whereas I was made to wait 45mins because some other lady (a walk-in) wanted to get her nails done who was waiting for 5mins before me. Don't they know that if they are short staffed and they have an appointment, they should wait FOR THEM to be there and not MAKE THEM WAIT!!! Infact that lady's work was started after my arrival and reporting at the reception desk. By the time my turn came, my husband's service was almost finished. Then on top of that the whole process that usually takes minimum 45mins was finished for me in 30mins in a very shabby n bad way. No proper cuticle and calluses cleaning was done. When I raised the complaint about it the reason given was that they have another appointment coming and they have to be on time for that so quick service to me...Absolute B.S.!!! Where was this attitude when I was waiting??? Their receptionist was highly unprofessional n rude. Offered us $5 discount for my services...seriously!!!! That's the best you can come up with for $45 service??? We are not beggars lady. So we told her no thanks. Then she said since we have generated the bill with $5 less it has to be that way to which we told her to correct and then we paid her the full amount. Who the hell is she to decide like that...shouldn't she first present her offer n then after discussing with us act on it? REALLY HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!!! After that I never visited them for a while but due to some reason I ended up there again. Luckily third time was a charm! I had booked online appointment with Tiffany on a Monday afternoon so I knew what was I getting into. As expected she was absolutely great at her job. She even remembered the last mishap I had encountered with them. So all in all 5 STARS ONLY FOR TIFFANY but for the salon just 3 stars because of the behaviour of the face of the business ( the...

My recent trip to Midtown Nails was a rollercoaster of emotions. Hoping for a relaxing shellac color change, I encountered unexpected obstacles. Initially, Nancy, the friendly redhead known for her excellent service, was occupied with a customer, so I was attended to by another technician. Unfortunately, the session was far from pleasant, with rough handling and passive-aggressive behavior from beginning to end. It was clear she wanted to provoke a reaction, especially considering her surprise when I remained calm. Adding insult to injury, the salon charged an extra $10 for cuticle removal, a service that should be standard. I politely declined the extra charge. So what does the technician do? Created a space between my cuticle and nail bed while painting my toes, particularly noticeable on my big toes. I then asked if she could ONLY remove the cuticles on my big toes and still charge me the $10, to avoid being too difficult. However, she remained in her negative attitude and removed the paint on ALL of my toes, unnecessarily removing all of the cuticles in the process, continuing to handle my feet roughly. As a black woman, I often feel stereotyped in such situations, as if assumed not to tip or cause trouble. When Nancy became available, I eagerly requested her. despite the unfriendly techs assumptions she passively displayed, I tipped generously for her preparation of my feet. Along with Nancy of course. However, the salon failed to provide the soothing atmosphere I expected, leaving me disappointed. If I were to post my toes with obvious gaps exposing my cuticles all because you charge something that SHOULD be included, that’s what you’d want your future customers to see? My exposed cuticles all because you want to charge extra for something that takes 10 seconds? Take pride in your work Midtown nail salon. How arrogant, prideful, GREEDY, and trifling. Shame on y’all. I can't recommend Midtown Nails based on this visit. Or just request Nancy with...
